Exclamation '07 TL-S Rear Swaybar Link stripped & A-SPEC questions.

I just installed my A-Spec yesterday and I was curious if anyone knows the part # for the Type S-6MT A-Spec Suspension. I want to match them to see if they're correct. Also I ended up stripping and having to cut off the end rear stabilizer links. What would you recommend I buy to replace the rear end links? I want to keep my tires as long as I can, I remember last time I did an A-Spec suspension I went through tires FAST, especially on the rear. I'll be driving the car about a week I take it until I receive a part. So I'd like some suggestions and if anyone has that part #. Thanks everyone!

Either OEM, Moog, or FastLine(?) End-Links. IIRC, HeelToe or Excelerate recently posted a comparison of the Moog and FastLine(?) end-links.

So the part # for the A-Spec I got was: 08W60-SEP-2M10-Ca for the Rear A-Spec Strut.

Let me see what the front says...

I just want to get the ideal set-up so I don't go through $800 tires every 6 months.

Also would Autozone have the OEM links?

I just called Advanced Auto Parts and they said they have a left and right rear Moog stabilizer link. So I'll go and pick those up very soon! As for the part # That still worries me. I installed the A-Spec suspension so I just hope it's the correct one. I ordered the specific manual type S version. Just want to clarify that part #. I'll try to get the front real soon!

No, local parts stores will have or get Moog. The OEM is available at the dealer.

You can look up the Moog part number here: http://www.fme-cat.com/PassengerCarLightTruck.aspx

OEM here: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ry3=&catcgry4= Put you car data in, then check the Front Lower Arm and Rear Lower Arm sub-assemblies.

Thanks for the info, I ended up installing the Moog, let me say, they look 100X better than the OEM ones and plus I wont need to deal with them stripping ever really.

The question thats still been bothering me is what is the correct part # for the Type S 6MT A-Spec Suspension? The reason I ask is, it looks almost stock height, I thought I noticed a more dramatic drop with my base TL than my Type S. It feels a little firmer than the Type S Suspension but not dramatic, though around turns it did show in better cornering.

Just FYI, there is no correlation between the sway bar and excessive tire wear...just to set you at ease there.

Then how would I reduce tire consumption? Recommend me the parts and I will most likely buy!

And still no one knows about the A-Spec MT Type S part #?

There is no A-Spec suspension listed for the Type-S. Only for the Base models.

Maybe PM the OEM vendor, Tim at (?) Hondacura World. I think his screen-name is OEMPartsGuy (something like that).

Are you going to be installing a rear camber kit? Something like: http://www.heeltoeauto.com/ingalls-r...ide-38725.html

My Acura TL Type S 6-MT suspension kit part number is: 08W60-SEP-201B. That part number supersedes other part numbers that are floating around on the web - I called Curry Acura to confirm before the kit was installed.

I have to get it aligned at Sears soon. I got it done not too long ago, so I will have the up-to-date soon. The inside of the tires are wearing very fast. That's all. And my previous A-Spec suspension destroyed the inside of my Base TL's tires.

Answer your questions?.

^yes, because once you take care of the alignment, it would solve all your problems!

inner tire wear is camber!
make sure the toe is set to 0.

if rear is out of spec and cannot be adjusted, you will need a camber kit.

its not the aspec suspension thats causing your tire wear, its your alignment. it goes off anytime you mess with suspension parts. and its definitely not your rear sway bar link thats causing your tire wear
