'07 TL-S Low Voltage message on Navi Screen???

I have a 2007 Acura TL Type S and on my Navi screen the message on start up says their is "low voltage detected, some vital components of the car might not work". Everything seems to be working just fine, but this message has been coming on everytime. I have replaced the battery with a oem acura battery about 9 months ago, so I don't see it being a problem with the battery. And the car has NEVER had a starting issue. Just this message coming on each time makes me worry about what would not work incase of an emergency. Thanks -Kyle

it shuts off unneccessary components before dying. Such as radio,a/c,heat,etc. just to keep the motor running. I would look into cleaning your battery terminals. Also,Batteries can go bad at any minute, usually in excessive temperatures such as Summer/Winter.

The last battery that I purchased from my Chevy dealer, was 1-year old - had been sitting in the parts dept for 1-year, and they had one that was 2-years old. The dealer had one of each type of GM battery required, for all the Chevy/ Cadillac models, but their turn-over is slow, its a convenience to buy from the dealer, but not the best place.

Yes, the dealer will charge-up their battery, before installing in your car, but it will be a fast charge, not as good as a slow-charge. And any battery that has been sitting for more then 6-months will never last the full warranty period.

Can you read the date code on your battery?

Most Honda / Acura models have an ELD (electrical load detector) to *manage* alternator output, and other electrical circuits.
