You're the first one. The Honda 5at is known for it's reliability. I've never heard of any problems.

I'm at work right now but there's a lot to say when I get home.

What happens is the reverse of what someone told you. The clutches start wearing out and the clutch material plugs up the filter resulting in very quick wear at that point. I'm assuming you eventually got to the point where the car would stop moving and if you shut it off for a while it would drive again for a little bit.

There are a few easy things you can do to prevent this from happening again. Replace the pressure switches every 2-3 years regardless of mileage and use a Dex III fluid like Redline D4, Amsoil ATF or any of about 10 different Dex III fluids. You can also run a type F fluid if you really want to reduce clutch wear and don't mind a slightly more aggressive shift.
