It's strange that after 20 years of driving, the best car I've ever owned - the TL - is the only one that's stranded me on the side of the road.

I've got a strange problem and was wondering if it sounds familiar to anyone:

I'll be driving along, and the check engine light, VSA and check engine lights will come on AND my automatic transmission will stick in whatever gear it's in. (3rd or 4th.) If I turn off the ignition and accessories and re-start the car; everything will be fine. (until it does it again.) Now - only the "check engine" light remains.

According to my mechanic, the code is "bad throttle body." The car's on it's 4th throttle body, but we're still getting the same problem. (the first 2 replacements were '05 models - this one is the correct '04.)

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

2004 TL automatic, 125,000
Rebuilt transmission - 7,000 miles ago
The car runs great - it has been well maintained, and is driven 80% on the highway at highway speeds. It seems a little sluggish now with the check engine light on.

That should read "Check Engine light, VSA and Exclamation Point. That's what I get for posting so late...
