04 TL Auto stumbling switching gears
I started to notice that when I drive my TL in rush hour traffic and only give it little gas it seems to stumble\hestitate switching from 3rd to 4th gear. Doesn't happen in any other gears, or when you drive it under normal acceleration condiftions, just when I get in the daily commutes. Any ideas? I've only got 42K kilometers.

Has it just started happening or has it been around for a while? Check the transmission fluid and see that it is red or pink in color.

Just started and I had the transmission fluid changed about a year ago. I'll check the level tomorrow but it seems odd that this is only happening switching from 3rd to 4th and under very slow acceleration.

Does it make a difference when it's hot or cold? Do the rpms flare up between third and fourth or does it seem like you temporarily lose power and rpms drop or remain the same?

I read the link you posted zeezz and I would say it's a shutter between 3rd and 4th and my tranny is on it's way out. Guess I'll have to go talk to the dealer and these guys are a difficult bunch. Probably going to tell me "that's how it's supposed to be", we can't duplicate the problem" or you're driving the car too hard". Not even 30,000 miles...
