04 TL 6spd swap?

I have a high mileage 04 TL 6spd. Looking to get a spare motor. What drops right in and bolts up to my 6spd tranny and plugs right up with all the sensors?

Just looking for options before I start searching the market.

Thanks!

another 04-06 motor...
auto or manual will work...

i trashed my 6MT 2006 motor and I hit up www.car-part.com to source my 2005 auto engine for $650 and had indie mech install it for $650

and UNLESS you trash the motor, your original motor will keep on trucking.
High milege doesnt mean shit.

and when I mean trash, I trashed the short block.
because you can buy heads if the heads are fucked....
what im trying to get at is....YOU DONT EVEN NEED A SPARE unless you fucked the bottom end of the engine, which you havent done...so no need.

Thanks Justnspace for that. I just have oil leaks everywhere and Im sure its the rear main seal and the oil pump seal, valve cover gaskets, amongst others. They look to be a pain in the ass to do with the engine in the car, thats why I considered getting another motor and doing all the seals and make it nice and clean with not leaks and just swap it out to cut downtime. I can even sell the old motor once its out.

This is a case where paying a shop to do the work would most likely be better/faster/cheaper. They can easily do the job in less than a day and it should cost you far less than a used motor. Heck, while they're in there, have them change the clutch as well.

Check out my thread in the photography section. Just completed a J35A6 swap (05-10 Odyssey EX/LX) into my 05' 6spd TL. Bolts right up.
