04-06 cracked dash - acura appears to be making good on repairs!~

Acura appears to be taking the issue a little more seriously lately...please use this post to update us on how much the dealership offered to cover of your cost, whether you were in warranty, what your current mileage is, whether or not your airbag light comes on and off...and lastly where are your cracks located. Also, please state if you were you able to negotiate a better percentage of the repair by calling corporate and complaining.

My info:
2005 acura TL 6 spd
88k miles
srs light comes on and goes out randomly
no warranty
bought used
cracks over instrument cluster and passenger side of dash

Acura dealership offering to cover 50% of repair cost to the tune of about 750 out of my pocket. I have not called corp yet to try to raise the percentage.

Just my , but wouldn't it be better to keep this all in the already established thread?

yes and no...the established thread i believe your referring to is over 13 pages or so...

Posters: Please only post info that is pertinent. You can copy what I've done and add anything you think is good information. No questions, comments, or other discussions. I just want to get a collection of cars and info so I can quickly scan through each one without having to pick through other conversations. I'm trying to establish a trend to see who is most likely going to succeed in being covered, and to what extent. So please by all means if you have questions and concerns please continue chatting on the "established thread."

I don't think it's a bad idea to have a thread with just people who have had their dashes repaired along with the cost. I'm trying to stay on topic so I'll only say this once but it's extremely unlikely the cracks have anything to do with the airbag indicator. I would look at other things starting with items sitting on the passenger seat.
