Hmm...I didn't know you had Stage 1 done already...simply replacing the resonator wouldn't make much of a difference.

One thing I can say is, if you add a j-pipe that removes the 3rd cat, you would have a lot of rasp with the shorter resonator, so be happy you bought the long one.

After adding my j-pipe to S3, it does idle deeper, and amplified the sound slightly but I still want it louder. Damn Rockstar and his true dual.

I would say it does have a break in period to where it will get slightly deeper, but nothing too noticeable.

If you're really wanting it to get louder, only other option is removing or replacing the 2 rear mufflers.

If you have any plans on getting a jpipe then def get the 24235 dynomax. It will kill the most of the rasp. Idk if ill get a jpipe or not.

Thanks, I haven't done much just the little things.

Ya I may look into getting new rear mufflers or just delete them. I didn't take comparison pics but the 24235 is almost the same size as the factory resonator just not as thick. Are the rear mufflers restrictive? I thought they were pretty much straight thru design so replacing them with magnaflow won't change the sound much. I may be wrong. Just not really happy with spending $100 and not much tone difference...

dont just remove the mufflers....it will sound horrid !!!

instead do replace them for some magnaflow or dynomax mufflers...again, it will be trial and error

11365 is a smaller muffler its a 4x9 muffler 11" long body....5x8 muffler which is 14" long....this will quite/tone down if there is any rasp...check these part numbers (12225 or 14225)

I don't think I'll have any rasp by just swapping the rear mufflers. I bought the longer 24235 dynomax resonator instead of the original shorter one that everyone uses when they do a stage 3. The only thing I'm worried about is it being too loud and have a lot of drone. I drive mostly highway so I don't want something that will make me deaf. But I want something that sounds sexy

^^^ true....

I am an attention whore...I like my exhaust loud and deep....kinda makes other feel my presence LOL

just make sure the exhaust shop makes it easier for you to swap mufflers if you have to....my exhaust shop did a horrible job if I have to switch shit out down the line....make sure they use either band clamps or put some flanges so if you have to swap something out, it wont be much labor you are paying them...

ya The guy I been using for all my exhaust work only charged me $40 to do the stage 3 mod. same guy that did all my other exhaust mods on all my other vehicles so he doesnt charge me ridiculous prices.

$40 is great....most cheap places didnt want to work on my exhaust since I was running precat deletes and I wanted the custom exhaust to delete my 3rd cat....was against the rules and hence I had to shop around for "race" shops and ofcourse their prices were very high....they did a great job, dont get my wrong, but charged me a lot....

and are you in the midwest? we got dumped by almost a foot of snow (I exaggerated) over the weekend...

Ya I ran into that issue with my firebird when I cut the CAT off. No one would work on it once they saw that I did that. They wanted to charge me to buy a Cat to weld on and then they would work on it and I didnt want it that way.

yep Indiana. sucks. its still snowing right now and totals were 7.2" at 7am this morning. suppose to get another inch by noon. shit pisses me off cuz this time last year it was already in the 80s!

75? lucky! we are only going to get up to 51/55 this weekend. I want it to warm up already so I can start taking apart my car! Ill prolly have to redo my plasti dipped rear emblem cuz it came out textured and not smooth and when I started to peel it off some of it came off on the emblem. hard to tell unless you are staring right at it but im a perfectionist and dont like it. I may just leave it chrome since it will flow better with the quad tips Im gonna do with my magnaflow rears once I get the aspec kit. I got alot of mods coming soon! lets just hope the wifey doesnt get too mad

Did you use the 24215 shorter dynomax resonator or 24235 longer one?
