Thanks, Funny that u ask, I tried to plastidip it black but with it being cold and I was in a hurry it had runs in it so I let it dry and peeled it off. Can't decide if I want to try it again or just leave it chrome. Any thoughts or suggestions??

Personally I'm not a fan of chrome at all, so I would black it out. Just try it again and then compare it back to the pic you posted and see what you like better. Make sure there aren't any runs this time haha

I installed it, Zach. It's a good, helpful mod. Cheap too, at $59.

Im really wanting to paint them black but i am going to wait until spring/summer. I also have an issue with my rear driver side caliper, I think the piston is seized. so that will need to be replaced. I may go out and just buy all new calipers for all 4 wheels. I want this car to last me a long time.
I know thats the plan! I may even get the RDX covers as well. havent decided yet.

Next mod. I need opinions on what looks better in your opinion.
Leave it stock
gloss black inside
gloss black trim only
gloss black trim and center bar
Which do you like the best??

Well after some long thinking about whether to get a J pipe and aftermarket exhaust or continue to do stage mods, I went ahead and convinced myself that spending $1500 on an exhaust is too much for me. So I ordered me a dynomax 24235 resonator from Summit Racing and should get it this week and get it put on this saturday morning. hopefully it sounds good

Congrats! I think you'll be very happy with it, so long as you don't get the itch to make it louder.
As for your grille, the gloss black insides look the best I think if you black out the headlights, it would add to the look even more.

Grill #2 with just the inside grill part being black is the one I like the best. and thanks! I hope it sounds good! never heard one in person just on youtube which never justifies anything.
I want something with a little more rumble than with just a MM delete but not crazy loud or anything thats raspy. just a nice little growl hope I made the right decision. Grill #2 was the one I like but I wanted to see how the other options would look and get some opinions from other Acuraziners. Thanks for you
Looks liek Grill #2 is winning all votes! and thanks! cant wait to get it installed just hope it sounds good!
I dont know if I like the all black center. makes it look like the Acura emblem is floating. Maybe a color matched center bar??

Not feeling that one so much. I like option 2 because it brings the grille out a bit and makes a border around the center bar.
Not sure about AM but color matching mine looks great, maybe that's an option?

ok I think im gonna stick with Grill #2. Suggestions on what type of paint to use to prevent fading and chipping? I dont have the luxury of parking in a garage every night due to all my tools and quad in the garage and I let my wife park in there.

Just some spray paint you pick up at Autozone or something, nothing too fancy. It shouldn't take more than about an hour to paint and dry, getting the grille off is fairly easy too.

I would throw some plastic dip and see how it looks...if you change your mind, you can always peel it off
or just use it as a primer

choose vinyl over paint. paint will chip and crack over time. when i had vinyl on my grill, it held up just fine for over 2 years showing zero signs of wear.

The inside part of the grill would be hard to vinyl. its got the cross bars and stuff

It's been done before, for that you'll want to pick up an adhesive promoter. While using that, a heat gun or hair dryer works wonders on vinyl, makes it very pliable and easy to work with.
For the month or 2 I've had my grille painted, it's held up well.
I have MULTIPLE layers of Plasti-dip, NBP paint 2-3 coats and 5 coats of clear over that haha it's doing nicely.

So I got my dynomax 24235 resonator put on today and took out the factory one. So now I've accomplished the stage 3 mod. Idk if these resonators have a break in time but it doesn't sound much louder than when I had my mid muffler deleted stage 1. Kinda disappointed Will it get louder deeper tone??
#117
Interesting... I just had my stage 1 done yesterday and I'm pretty happy with it. Can only notice the sound between 2 and 3k RPM. I was thinking of doing the stage 3 for that reason. Keep us posted

Ya I did stage 1, but it was too quiet and didn't make much difference between factory. I wanted a deeper sound without rasp so I went to stage 3 but went with the longer 24235 resonator. Now I kinda wish I went with the shorter 24215 one... Hopefully once I get some miles on it, it will get louder.
