Wide Body 3G Carrara White TL w/Custom Bumper

Wassup everybody, got my car done and on the road a week or two ago, and this is the result of all the time and money invested.

The car is a custom, all metal wide body, widened about 4" on each side. The fenders have also been "radiused" or cut higher so as to allow the car to sit lower without tucking rim. The paint used was Carrara White from porsche, and the front bumper is a Job Design bumper made for a lexus gs350, cut in half, and molded to the upper half of the oem bumper. Wheel specs are 19x9-40 (using a 20mm spacer to clear bbk) with a 215/35/19 tire up front and 19x10-32 with a 235/35/19 out back.
Suspension of choice is BC Racing Coilovers. I was planning on doing a full write up on these coils, but my girlfriend deleted all the pictures i had of the coils and the install off my digital camera. What i can say is that for ANYONE looking for a quality suspension, whether you want to ride slammed or at stock height with a sportier feel, i would absolutely 100% recommend BC. You guys can tell i daily my car at a decently low ride height, and i plan on going lower, so i need a really good suspension. BC are fully customizable and i was able to get 20/18k spring rates to give me the stiffness i require. One would expect this to ride like #$!%, but BC actually custom valves their struts to pair up with the spring rate so its actually EXTREMELY comfortable. Fit and finish of the coils themselves are top notch, everything is powder coated so i dont expect any rust..rings and collars rotate and lock freely...installation was simple with no hiccups...all in all, for 1000 bucks, this beats out ANY other coilover for our cars, imo.

The wheel offset looks pretty goofy the rear/side in those vids, but the whole car is too unique to dislike. Props for originality!

a few people have suggested changing the mirrors, but iono what it is, but i love the way the current mirrors flow with the rest of the car. as for the ass shot, i asked the photographer to send me any pics he didnt use for the "feature" especially ass shots and rolling shots so we'll see..

i'll eventually probably do SOMETHING to the front bumper, but im just glad the mesh isnt bling bling anymore haha

i drove it for its first long trip..160 miles, was a nice warmup..got scared that i lost my bumper a few times feeling like im catching air over bumps, but all in all, im pretty used to it. stiff and quality suspension definately help.
heh i dont come across very many since ill just park on the street and walk, but if i come across one, as long as my front bumper gets over it, i just go straight and drag.
thanks guys! theres been a lot of nice TL's over the years on azine and this is just my contribution.
i LOVE wdp in the idea lighting conditions, but 95% of the time the paint appeared too yellow to me. The reason i went with this particular white is because i wanted something that would POP without being too loud.
go with the BCR, you wont regret it.

The black hockey-stick shaped openings at the VERY bottom--I think making that all white with the rest of the bumper would be so clean...
And type-s headlights with clear corners would do it all off nicely....

this car has come a long ass way. SErious.. I still remember going to de anza and larry telling me how his "friend" just picked up some Megan Coils for his TL and is going to slam the shit out of it

damn dude looks really good when i first saw the bumper the first thing i thought was a GS haha you should definitely get some night shots i'm not a huge fan on VIP but your ride definitely deserves from respect and credit. digging it man GJ

thanks guys, all the white tl's either retired or painted their car a different color :P
heh i do have camber kits, ingalls in back and custom up front..camber is intentional and i plan on adding more :P

yea, im confused haha..the fenders have been widened 4" on each side, just with the intent of look as OEM as possible. i wanted the appearance where people who see it driving on the street will think its stock, but just not know wth kinda car it is.

Fuk I can't stop lookin at the pics I vote Adrians car for ride of the fukin century... One of the hottest TL's for sure. I would love to get all the WDP's the are hella clean together for a shoot..
