That's a first to me. Can't wait to see them mounted.

LwPTL1223 04-18-2013 09:20 AM

Here's a picture of them on here before the copper lip

and from an angle to see the actual lip size

It's gonna look hot! Doing the strip in the headlight or even the projector ring in copper would really set it off too I bet.

Undying Dreams 04-18-2013 09:32 AM

Interesting...

zachlone 04-18-2013 09:33 AM

cant wait to see them mounted!!

LwPTL1223 04-18-2013 09:38 AM

Thanks guys actually going with a mini stretch with the new tire's, the wheels are 19x8.5 in the front and I will be running a 215/35/19 and the rear wheels are 19x9.5 with a 225/35/19, after getting the wheels mounted I will be purchasing some wheel spacers for the front as well

Undying Dreams 04-18-2013 09:43 AM

Why run 215's? Are you having clearance issues? What's the offset?

It's barely a stretch, I looked it up on tirestretch.com with the same exact size tires and you can hardly tell it's stretched at all so nothing crazy

Undying Dreams 04-18-2013 09:51 AM

Ahh okay  just a little less rubber on the road. I'd prefer to have a little more if possible. :)

ebelp 04-18-2013 09:54 AM

I like it the copper lip. Just need some spacers to get rid of the sunken look.

Like I said above, spacers for the front will be ordered once I get the wheels on and get a measurement, and what do you mean by "get rid of the suken look" ? too low? because in my opinion it needs to be lower

LwPTL1223 04-18-2013 09:59 AM

Sunken*

sunken meaning your wheels are sitting in the wheel well too much.

the spacers will help with this

Okay I gotcha now! Yea I'm debating on rear spacers because it's pretty close to the fender well now and I don't wanna run into problems

ebelp 04-18-2013 10:38 AM

I would get spacers for the front AND rear. Sunken is the opposite of poke. When the wheels are not flush with the fenders. If your fenders are rolled, I think 15mm spacers for the front and 20mm spacers for the rear would look great. :2cents: FYI, the lower you go, the more sunk your wheels will look because of natural camber effects.

I have a feeling I will like the polished better, but it is always interesting to see something different. I agree with what Maharajamd said maybe some copper accents in the headlights or something would make it flow better. However, I will reserve final judgement until I see mounted pics.

HDIZZLE 04-18-2013 12:12 PM

They look great man ! but the copper lip might stand out a little to much because your whole car has a white/black theme going. regardless still will be nice

That's the reason of doing it, I like being different from the rest, very rare to see copper wheels on a car, and with having a white car pretty much anything will flow

quanaman 04-18-2013 01:04 PM

Copper lip=sick.

JDMKNIGHT 04-18-2013 01:16 PM

I think white and copper compliment each other well, can't wait to see them on bro.

maharajamd 04-18-2013 01:27 PM

Actually, forget the headlight accents if you want. If you could get a decal for the front "Acura" in copper that would look sick!

TWiSDiT 04-18-2013 01:43 PM

i remember ur car.. geeze how many powdercoat jobs have u gone through with those wheels? lol looking forward to seeing them sunday

Str8KoolinTL 04-18-2013 01:59 PM

wheels look great. post pics when you put the wheels back on.

Steven Bell 04-18-2013 03:14 PM

 omg.

Jordan00711 04-18-2013 09:15 PM

Don't run less than a 225 on your 8.5" wheel. Having stretch just to have it is kinda lame IMO:whyme:. Most will hate on stretch anyway but if your doing it at least let it be due to clearance. Run a 225 up front and a 235 in the rear. Just my :2cents:

A 20mm spacer upfront and a 15mm out back would really make things look better, that being said love the white/copper theme:thumbsup:!

LwPTL1223 04-18-2013 09:28 PM

All 4 finally done, getting tires mounted tomorrow and they will be on by saturday evening

Well guys I got lucky, my buddy had some extra spacers laying around they he is going to let me use for this weekend to see how they look, 20mm for the front and 10mm for the rear, like I said above I will have pictures posted tomorrow evening or Sunday evening

Undying Dreams 04-19-2013 09:24 AM

How is it a no-no? Lol oh because I forgot I just dropped them on the ground, come on guy get real here lol its the backside of the wheel which has NO copper at all on it

Undying Dreams 04-19-2013 09:50 AM

I'd NEVER lay my wheels down like that.

zachlone 04-19-2013 09:52 AM

you could have at least put them on some cardboard or even lay them in grass. dem scratches doe...

LwPTL1223 04-19-2013 10:10 AM

If I laid them down face first yea I could see where you're coming from but I didn't so...

Morrissey25 04-19-2013 10:16 AM

I like em... in for mounted pics.
