Yeah they're almost the same. You will need to rent a spring compressor tool from Autozone and or any other car parts store if you don't already have one. You will use that tool to compress the stock springs so you can loosen up and disassemble the top hats. After that you will compress the new springs with the same tool, put it on the shock, assemble the top hat, then un-compress the springs and install them back onto the car.
