9.28.10 UPDATE
So summer is coming to an end and I had the chance to get out and take a few more pics. The only mod I have done since my last update is completion of the engine bay. I toyed with the idea of doing all the engine shrouds in CF but decided against it and went for the gold instead. I have some pics below let me know what you think?
I also bought my wife an 07 MDX two months ago and have since installed the tow package, roof rails, and side running boards on it. I f-ing love that MDX it is one of the smoothest vehicles I have ever owned. I got a few shoots of it while I was on a business trip in Cortez, CO (mountain area).
Thanks again for checking out my progress thread.

Thanks! I'll tell you my aunt has a 2010 Audi S-line SUV, we have had two Mercedes ML's prior to these cars and the MDX, IMO, beats them in almost every aspect hands down. The ride is smoother, their are more features and the maintenance is WAAAAY cheaper than the Euro's. The Audi does have a hot styling though.

1. I felt it accented the AM positively;
2. The resin that I used for the CF engine shroud has a yellowish goldish undertone to it, so other paint colors did not go as well;
3. Black, Gold, and Gray are my favorite color combinations;
4. I thought about red or body matching them but I liked the boldness of the gold the best.
I say do whatever you want... after all it is only paint and you can always re-paint them later.
I have alway been a fan of Yokos, I have had them on almost every vehicle. I like them because they are quite and the prove to handle very well in rain and snow, which we get here in Colorado often. People complain that they don't last as long as other tires but I think the benefits of them while they last are better than the shorter life span. These are the YK520's and they are no execption. I really enjoy them and would recommend them.
Well worth it and I am very happy with the gas mileage on the MDX too. We are getting around 21 MPG average in mostly city.

i really think you should take time and custom made the engine cover and interior. you have a entire community for acurazine 3g ready to buy it. i'm ready to paypal you if you give me price. Believe me you can make a lot of money on your spare time doing this.

I don't disagree with that at all, and would love to, but I have a full time job, two young girls and several other obligations which take up too much time to be able to work on this as well. Besides I already promised my local Mile High crew first dibs if I started to make them for others If you go to http://www.carbonmods.com you can find a wealth of information and materials to do it yourself pretty easy. You may not get it right on the first time, but it will give you valuable lessons for the next one which will look good
i see that your interior cabon fiber is identical to the oem version acura uses in the lower vessels close to the shift knob. which sheets did you buy it, cause is i know is not rocket science to learn carbon fiber but i would like to get the right sheet taht would match our interior. thanx

^^^ It's really not that hard. Just use your existing cover as a forming plug, overlay the carbon fiber, attach it with some tape so it doesn't move, apply thin coats of resin (so it doesn't bubble or sag), sand and repeat. On the final coat use polishing compound to shine it up. Make sure to use hi-temp resin for the engine. Check out http://www.carbonmods.com for some good diy videos and product, although you can get the carbon fiber cheaper on Ebay.
