WANTED! -> Angel Eyes PICS!

Here's the thing, i want to get angel eyes for my 06 TL but dont know if anyone has these install already cause i cant seem to find them on the forums anywhere...:whyme:

Here's what i am looking for. from Umnitza.com the Predator Orion v2 LED Angel Eyes - How would they look on our TLs and if anyone would care to share their pics of angel eyes.

or

The Thin line Angel Eyes from Umnitza.com for the 06 TLs and if anyone can provide pics!

According to Umnitza the LED ANgel would fit our Tls but i they dont have enought photos for me to compare them. However our Headlight guy JnC said that the LED ANgel Eyes would block out lightout put...if anyone has them installed if they can post up pics of how they look liek and how accurate of a fit the LED would be to our rings on our HIDs.

THANKS!

Only thing you have to do is search the Jnc headlight thread and there you'll see all the pictures u need

HokAy 10-08-2009 01:27 PM

did and done that but was looking for the LED Angel Eyes kit not the ccfls and compare them. would anyone know if the LED would fit our 06 bezel ring?

Rafiton 10-08-2009 01:38 PM

U have to see all the pages, because Jnc has posted pictures of the V2 umnitza angel eyes and he has a lot of the v1.

grenas17 10-08-2009 02:13 PM

Heres the link for the thread for JNC...
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/got-jncs-custom-headlights-post-pictures-here-724822/

Scroll to the bottom of the first page and you will see red angel eyes...

HokAy 10-08-2009 02:23 PM

yes those are the CCFLs, me is looking for these:

http://www.umnitza.com/umnitza-acura...08-p-1340.html

the site only has one pic but want different angels shots to compare against the CCFLs and would they fit or not. if not then i will call up umnitza and ask them.

Vtec_PL 10-15-2009 09:35 PM

can you post pics of these i'd like to see them up close with the leds off

HokAy 10-21-2009 10:56 PM

they're sitting on my computer table...

JnC 10-22-2009 05:20 AM

Had to dig these pictures out from when I first came across this kit.

Its a great product with very poor fitment.

I can install these but wont be able to live with the fact as to how much light output they block. Manufacturer says it blocks 20% output, I'll let you guys be the judge.

jptl04 I can't get enough of your Headlights!

SlimTL 03-23-2010 02:36 AM

Hey Bforbrian,
how are your halos wired to turn on? With the parking lights? DRL? Separate switch?

Roger555 03-23-2010 04:49 AM

bforbrian which ones are those CCFL from umnitza?

bforbrian 03-23-2010 08:12 PM

Well that was my old set of type-s headlights that were wired to parking lights. Then I wasn't too fond of the fact that they were ALWAYS on when my headlights were on, just wasting away CCFL life.

My second set of type-s headlights had them wired to a separate switch.

The pictures you see are indeed umnitza angel eyes.

JCL622 03-28-2010 11:51 PM

u still have em wired to both DRL and main beam Brian?

those semi-open garage pics to cut light makes the car look so mean!! makes me miss my TL, i drive a PIG now for a daily lol

diskinnect 03-29-2010 12:42 AM

damn that garage pic looks sexy as eff

Any pics of your beam pattern with these installed?? Seems like it might narrow out the throw on the left and right sides of the road?

Type One 03-29-2010 05:01 PM

The garage pic looks great!

rockyfeller 03-30-2010 10:57 AM

We have a lot of threads about angel-eyes, lol. I knew Brian probably has a ton of pics of the rings, I was just waiting for him to chime in.

The new rings are bright but I see that as the only advantage. They are TOO thick IMO. I agree with JnC they could block output. They just don't look like they belong in that housing. Not a fan.

The rings Brian and I have had on our cars looks WAY better IMO. It is thinner, true. But that is more my taste. It looks just right. Bright enough to see at dusk but not blingy bright to detract attention from the rest of the car. It has an elegant understated glow that just goes with the lines of the car. I also personally like the way the rings are in a bit of the U-shape vs. the O-shape. Evil ol skool BMW-esque.....but that is the only BMW thing about it. I don't understand people who think this looks BMWish otherwise?

I know many have gone the audi-style route with the white LED strips. They are OK. I am using amber strips just for signals. I think the rings are a nicer look. And rings and white strips together are a bit overkill. Oh yeah by the way, I've had them 3 yrs, running strong still. Great mod, Do it!

nate2fresh 03-30-2010 01:13 PM

woow that the sexyest look i have ever seen on a tl!!!!!, i have to get my 05 tl to look like that where did u buy the angel eye kit and the a spec front bumper i cant find it anywhere??

jptl04 03-30-2010 05:55 PM

Rocky, Brian show us some close ups of the angle eyes off and during the day. How are they mounted? How clean is it? The main reason I don't like the thin ones IS because they aren't full circles and you can see the wires coming from them. Sure the LED halos are thicker and would block some of the hid output if installed there. My installation was never intended for a daytime or dusk running light but rather an accent to the hid's at night. The daytime runners are off when the headlights are on.

I love the way they look at night, the match is nearly perfect! and the fact that they look stock during the day. It looks factory. I've only had them for like a month and I can't tell you how many necks I've broken. Lol!

bforbrian 04-02-2010 11:30 AM

Had to do some real digging to find these pics in my million albums.. lol.. but as for mounting they are glued onto the bezels and even from up close they are pretty clean. Couldn't find a picture up close without them on :whyme:

I hope these suffice?

I'm about to do this project to my 06 with Type-S headlights. As far as wiring, I was going to wire the halos to turn on with the key in the "on" position. But now I'm leaning more towards wiring to the parking brake sensor. That way they only turn on when the parking brake is disengaged. Has this been been done by anyone?

jptl04 04-02-2010 12:16 PM

Brian i like the light output, thinness, and even light disbursement throughout the tube.

i just cant get over the fact that they are only a 3/4 lit halo! if you can call it that, its more like a horse shoe. almost like the top part of it is burnt out. plus the those wires! maybe its just me i guess. alot of people seem to like them.

bforbrian 04-02-2010 12:19 PM

Haha, and this is where difference of opinion comes into play; you seem to like the full circle while i like the U shaped since it looks like it's angry, not glaring.

I'm sure you've seen my thread regarding my fiber optic angel eyes i'm making from scratch.. this gives me 100% full control on the shape of the eye I want; in other words, I can choose if it's a full circle or u-shape, or even an angled u-shape (which i'm leaning towards, like you see on g37 tail lights). Full circle for HID bezel, and angled U-shape for the DRL bezel.

But in the end, we both got what we wanted, and we are satisfied.

SlimTL 04-18-2010 02:54 AM

I can't wait for Brian to post some pics of his new halo setup in this thread.:toocool:
