Eagle, there was one guy who said he might try to do some custom sills this summer, but he wasn't sure. I can't remember who that was though. I can tell you...there are no bulbs for these things. It's a flat panel with that comes with a plug in, so there's no way to change colors or alter these in any way. I was just lucky to get a set because Super Computers doesn't have any more of these.

JM, I don't think these are made anymore at all. You might PM Super Computers and see if he has anything left.

Install looks super easy...

Steve, do you know what type of lighting method is used? Looks too thin for LEDs... maybe SMDs? Maybe EL?

Steven,

Great job on the illuminated sills. Everything on the interior is nicely tied together with the red LEDS. Who is TL dream?
What did they cost?

They aren't surface mount. Looks like 1.5" (+/-) wide EL with a plastic facing on it for the lettering. The strip that goes on the metal is very thin and somewhat flexible.

^ If it really is EL, then I don't see why not as long as you can find the correct size.

JM, Buda knows better and has the answer to your question below. But the install I thought was very tedious and took 4-1/2 hours. Buda did an outstanding job and really made it look simple. Honestly, I would have been totally lost without him. Since he has done this mod to his car, he really made it look easy. But he was the one under the dash digging out wires and patiently stripping out sheathing to insure we had a good connection as well as doing all the electrical connections. The man is a lifesaver!!!

Thanks buddy! The "tied together" look...that's what I was going for. TLdream asked $140.00 shipped for them.

Brother, what are you doing up so late? I'm in Las Vegas now, so it's only 11:18 pm here. According to your Avatar, it looks like you got your wheels back. I can't wait to see them on your TL.

Damn, if I could do the same to the stock sills (aka flush mount), now that would be incredible, but hell that's mean drilling holes into the body, etc. Buda did a great job for you and it looks sweet. Kudos to you and Buda for the great job making it work.

"All" you need is wing doors to show the whole mess off.....as if...

I need to let Buda answer that. But I can tell you that it was a flat board with the Acura logo on it with a plug in. The board is separate from the sill plate.

Thanks Vini! I just got lucky and found someone on the Black Market that wanted to sell theirs to me. I sure wish these were in more abundance for everyone else. They seem to have gotten popular again.
