After a few messages back and forth to new vendor UniqueStyleRacing, I got my hands on a set of all white LED sidemarkers for my TL! Here's the link to where you can buy a set:

I had a set of smoked DEPO sidemarkers with the regular amber and red LEDs but going with the white/black theme of my TL, I knew I had to change it up. Here are some pictures:

Nice, but I just don't like how they look when it's unlit. It looks very aftermarket-ish. But they look nice at night. I might have to think about this one.. you think they would look nice if they were sprayed a bit to smoke it?

What do you have in your headlights? Did you just change the corners?

Nope they are DEPO so they have the black housing. Here's a picture:



On any other car I would want the white LEDs to be in the grey Type-S housing but since I have black headlights and tails, they look pretty good

I agree sir. My previous set of DEPO sidemarkers were sprayed with NiteShades and they looked great! Keep in mind they are solid black after being painted but the LEDs still shine through.

I've read your DIY at least two or three dozen times but after tearing open my headlights and tailights a few times, I wanted the simple and easy approach to getting white LEDs in the sidemarkers. I respect your work ethic greatly though!

That's the dilemma I'm facing. I love the all white LEDs but I feel like the red in the tails don't flow with any other part of the car. I still have my red LED rear sidemarkers so I can always put them back in!

they look pretty good, do the front ones blink? I know someone can make them blink amber with the headlight turn signals.

I honestly have no idea man. I've had a few people on here tell me that the rear ones are illegal but I've never read anything on the NCDMV website saying that they are/aren't illegal. I'll be rocking these for a while so we shall see if they are a problem or not.

That's what I was thinking as well. Time will tell! I'll let everybody know if they are a problem or not. I highly doubt they will be.

No problem man! I think I'm going to put the red ones in the rear eventually but for now they are going to stay all white.

Agreed. At least I know what these look like and I can swap them out whenever I decide to.

I seriously doubt I will but you never know. I think I would have more of a problem if they were blue or another color.

Nope the front do not blink. I believe to make that happen, you have to open the sidemarker and mess with the LEDs. Then you have to have some sort of module to regulate the blinking. Too much work for me.

I've never heard anything about having lights on the side of the car be illegal, but that's just me. As long as they aren't blue or some other crazy color, I think I should be okay. Time will tell though! Thank you for your opinion.

I like the OEM grey shrouding more than the black too, but they actually flow well with my black headlights and taillights. These aren't for everyone.

If I had stock headlights and tails, I wouldn't have gotten these. They aren't for everyone. Thank you for your opinion

Thank you sir! I'm overall very happy with them. Like others have suggested, eventually I'll be putting the red ones in the rear that way the front half of the car has white lights and the rear half of the car has red lights.
