Whats up? Are we getting re-numbered or something?
I gotta wake up the TL from hibernation tomorrow, it's been surprisingly nice here for the winter, so I figured I'd stretch her legs and give her a wash. Gonna roll the fenders next week so i can fix the camber.

Yeah i was on the org with the same user name haha.

Thats true i put a lot of work into it too and was one of the first with the cattman 3 inch exhausts. been there for quite some time, but more reading then posting. like i do here. i read a lot of things rather than post. but thats a sick max with the g35's and i seen that post where you were max of the month.

i might switch my discounted 18 enkei rp02s over... hmm lol

idk man i love the waffle type s wheels. wish i could find them in an 18 or 19. if Acura had made them a little bigger it would have made a huge difference in the retention of the oem wheels

^ I didn't like them at first but overtime they grew on me. Though that may just be because I've come to associate them with the type-s in general rather than actually thinking they look good.

If I had a type-s I'd definitely keep or want the oem wheels to come with it but wouldn't be shy to have another set with a dedicated summer tire

I need tires but would like some opinions. Continental DW 245/45/ZR-17 is what I'm leaning towards right now.

you know, ive never been a fan of continental's until i put them on my fiancees is300 and then fell in love with them. We did the continental extremecontact DWS's they were awesome. Especially on that car being rear wheel drive and really light in the rear. Never hydroplaned, rarely lost traction unless i was really trying to, and were quiet. And to top it all off, they were really cheap when we got them. Not sure what they are like now but they were well worth the money.

as far as i know, they dw and dws are the same price, even now on tirerack and you get the all season tire vs just the summer tire. I guess its all where you are or what youll be using them for but mine is a dd and i will be getting the dws's. Hope that helps!

I'm in Houston so we don't see snow and very little ice. So I think the DW will suffice.

thats what i would do. I was looking just to see, the replacements for what i have now, bridgestone potenza re92's are 282 per tire and they have a sh**ty review rating. Ill take the coontinentals over these anyday.

I just bought conti DW 235/40/18 on discounttiredirect ebay store for 566.20 shipped.

Best price I could find for them. It was 2.00 cheaper than discounttiredirect.com site.

We have had 25 inches of snow in west texas southeast NM so I will put DWS on my waffles for winter tires. But I am going with RJ's for summer duty so DW's are what I got.

The DWS do have a nice tread pattern though. On discount tire they were 174.00 for DW and 176.00 for DWS in 235/40/18 per tire. They were 142.00 on discounttiredirect.com per tire.

They make a 92 and a 95 load rating which are about 26.00 price per tire difference. So the 92Y will do well enough.

I just spent a few days doing tire research.

I have stuck with michelins on my van and truck but the car came with DWS front and michelin rears and I have enjoyed them enough to make the switch to conti's.

Happy tire hunting!!!

Are UA7 owners to be allowed to post here?

In the process of buying a 08 NBP TL-S right now. They have 3 of them to choose from in the lot. One of them comes with the a spec chrome finish rims. I thought these rims didn't clear the type s brembos? The offset is 55?

Guy said he'd throw the rims in to the deal to make it sweeter. Just wondering if I am going to need spacers to clear them or are they fine as is? What is a good offset on the TL type s fenders to get a flush look without rolling or pulling the fenders?

Hopefully get to join you guys soon.

I currently have a NBP RSX-S and was looking into a BB AP2 but decided to not get another 2 door car and landed here.

You do not need spacers to make A-Spec wheels fit over the Brembos. It wouldn't really make sense for Acura to make an accessory TL wheel that wasn't compatible with all trim models.

btw, if you want the flush look, you're going to need to roll, and possibly pull, your fenders.

very nice man! Did you end up going with the factory size tire? I was thinking about going with a 245 width for a better footprint but I havent decided yet? how much did you end up paying?
