type-s rear on my 04

After about 2 months of drama, i have finally finished my type-s rear upgrades.

it only took:

-my car getting hit by a plow
-the auto body shop ordering and putting on all the wrong parts
-Delray Acura of Florida jerkin me around for a month with the exhaust
-and a blown fuse(i guess that was no big deal though)

Ok so now u have to let us know what u actually did. Im thinking about doing the type-s rear but adding the a-spec lip. but not to sure how it would look with the 07 rear lip and the normal 04-06 a-spec

It looks good, but you're still missing the smoked rear side markers.

i dont think so, ive dumped a pretty good amount of money into this car. I actually didn't pay for most of this upgrade due to the plow hitting my car. but i did pay for the exhaust, i did suspension, Cold Air intake, wheels, nav conversion... imnot even sur ehow much longer ill have this car.

although did just purchase the extended warranty. has anyone else done that?

I was actually just looking into the E-shift pro cats... but its a bit pricey... if i did that... that would seriously be it.

oh and i might do the a-spec front lip.

yeah the tips are from the 07 type-s exhaust, i bought the whole cat back system. At first i noticed a small change in sound. It was not louder but just a different note. After about a week and maybe 250 miles... its actually changed its note again, becoming a bit deeper and has become louder as well.

Dont get me wrong though, i would never describe this exhaust system as loud. Im actually really happy with the sound, and definitely the way it looks.

Damn that's freaking hot son! I've been following your posts about the tl-s exhausts and i must say it's real nice!

I have question..the rear bumper u bought, is it just the bottom piece u attach or is it the whole rear bumper you are replacing? That might sound like a noob question but i don't know the answer lol.

yeah its actually the whole bumper which is confusing because i also was under the impression the the a-spec kits both front and back were lips. so im not how they would attach to the type-s.

but anyway the rear bumper cover was $274 from my dealership.

that isn't so bad but i'm surprised that they had the tl-s bumper in Anthracite. I have AM too and i thought they don't have that color for the tl-s?

Do you happen to have a close up of the rear grill area? Maybe how it attaches to the bumper?

Thank you!

Looks good, but I don't think you should put the smoked rear side markers. You wouldn't want people to think you have a type-S now, would you?

yeah im pretty sure they stopped making this color entirely, i had all the auto body work done at a shop, so they paint it custom for me.

It was one of those happy accidents i guess for me.

this pic is from last summer, its all i got right now. Ill take a few more after this shit storm we're getting in NY. But the wheels are axis hiros (gunmetal) which is a remarkably similar color to acuras anthracite. theyre pretty good wheels for the price, ive been overall happy with them.

all i can tell you accurately was that the rear bumper cover cost $274 and the tails $132 each(from dealership). There was also damage to my car on the driver side rear quarter panel. Although it was not replaced it still required a lot of work. I never asked so its kind of hard to separate the cost of all the modifications and repairs...sorry.

The bill was $2160. The exhaust i bought and installed separately. But the exhaust was $730 Shipped.

I went to a place in Smithtown on Long Island, called Performance Auto Body, and i would definitely recommend them. I would ask for Jim, and would definitely advise that you deal with him. he was very honest and seems like a good guy.

good luck! any other questions feel free!
