haha yeah, I saw them & made the decision to jump on them within the matter of minutes
yup, I can't wait to test out the difference in these tires when spring rolls around, haven't even gotten to putting on my winter tires on yet

Thanks Steven
Haha wow, I totally forgot about that. So for the American 'ziners this looks like plain robbery lol. I hate how the Canadian dollar is doing so crappy though, hopefully it picks up by next summer at least a bit

Went out this morning to redo my headlights cause I was getting irritated of how bad they looked & decided to grab some bar keepers polish for my exhaust tips.
The meguiars heavy duty headlight kit was amazing! Took me about an hour to do both headlights & they look factory new! As for the polish I wanted to do the full polished look but I was too tired & still have work to catch up on so I only did the outside for now.
Lol @ my ride height
1000 grit & then 3000 grit
Plasti-X applied & shortly after Headlight Protectant
Passenger side untouched
Final product! Didn't realize my headlight were actually slightly yellowed. The HID's are now truly blue rather than the aqua-ish colour before the restore

I've used that exact kit on at least 10 different cars, works great every time.
I bought the kit 2-3 times before realizing all i REALLY needed was 1k and 3k grit sandpaper. The plastic x and the UV protectant I have plenty to spare, and the buffing wheel I have 3 of also
works awesome, the car looks great too!

Well this is a sad update for my TL-S today... Earlier I was travelling back home after visiting the autoshow and someone had cut me off without using a signal forcing me to brake & swerve causing me to hit a center median curb & road sign to avoid making contact with the other vehicle causing damage to the front fender, both doors, side skirt as well as damaging both wheels and the front drivers side tire. I was in too much shock to grab the other guys plate number within that moment, my only concern was getting off the road. Got it dropped off at the bodyshop and will get an estimate tomorrow...
Glad I wasn't hurt or anything and the damage isn't severe but nevertheless still pissed off and something I don't wanna deal with especially in the midst of midterms in university. Wish I had a dashcam but there will always be should've, would've, could've's in any situation.

It happens. My rear bumper got "scratched" while parked two weeks after getting my car. People just can't park here in FL.

Just got back with insurance, looks like the accident will be deemed my fault since it is a single-vehicle accident. I'm hoping my premiums do not sky rocket and force me to sell my baby

sorry to hear about man that's horrible. hope things work out!
i know hindsight is 20/20 but i always recommend everyone put a dash cam in their car no matter how cheap their car is. you can get the blacksys cf-100 and accessories for about 150 and that includes front and back recordings while driving and parked.

No wire at all. mine is hard wired to my fuse box and i run the cable up the A pillar, under the headliner and then to the camera to the right of the rear view mirror. to the left of the rear view mirror i have my radar detector hard wired the same way.

That would be great then, don't want any obtrusive wires or anything taking up my power outlets. Thanks for the info man

If you search for radar detector installs, you will see how folks have wired them same as sockr1 described. This one shows drawing power from the rear view mirror and further down shows using the fusebox https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-b...l-pics-936750/
So far no update on the actual estimate on my vehicle because the adjuster hasn't come by and the body shop didn't receive an assignment sheet so my car has basically just been sitting on the body shop lot since the accident... I just want my car back

Sorry to hear about your TL, something similar happened to a buddy of mine on his S200.
He was driving and got cut off and ended up hitting a curb, gas line and a rock that cracked his block. Long story short insurance said it was not his fault... car got totaled and payed off. He actually made like a grand because the value of the car was grater than what he paid for it.

Wow really? Was the second car actually involved or charged later?
My damage is no where near to total the car, the estimate came in at around $5500 so far. I'll be getting the car back hopefully by next Friday.

Nope, second car was never charged. His story was that in order for him not to hit the other car he had to swerve, by doing that lost control of the car and caused the accident. The other car was not even at the scene. His car had major damage wheels, suspension, rocker panel, and to top it the engine.

It's been a while since I updated my thread but I have been super busy lately and the car hasn't seen as many mods as I hoped for as I saw a double in my premium upon my renewal which really took all the mod money I had set aside in its entirety.
Anyways here is what has been going on with the car the past few months:
I always wanted the car tinted since I bought it but had never got around to it until this May. I didn't wanna go super dark with my old car (15%) because I thought it would look too cheesy on the car and I didn't wanna be haggled by police and get unnecessary tickets. Initially I was debating 35% but it was a bit too light for me so I decided to get 25% all around along with moleskin installed to prevent scratching to my tints. Shoutout to EliteTint in Vaughan for the awesome work!
After the car received a nice clay-bar and layer of Chemical Guys X-Seal Sealant! Phenomenal stuff, really makes the pearl pop on the WDP & offers awesome water beading.
For a while the car felt really jerky between shifts and 1st gear was a pain in the butt as the car would always jerk but I always thought it was my driving or the motor mounts causing this. One day while I was driving the car had suddenly gone into limp mode, thrown a CEL, VSA & Traction Triangle and I had lost all power which was kinda scary for me & I thought I had a very big problem. After shutting the car off and turning it on it would resume back to normal with a CEL and after sitting overnight the CEL would disappear. This limp-mode occurrence happened twice and I decided to search the forums so I could have it fixed. Turns out it was the APP Sensor which seems to be quite a common problem and was actually very easy to fix and took only 30 minutes which was surprising since I do not really wrench on my car in the first place
Here's the part number if anyone is wondering:
And voila! The car is running like a gem. Did not realize my car wasn't running properly for quite a while & was thinking it was something else for the longest while.
Got bored one weekend & decided to bite the bullet and do a full polished looked on the exhaust tips. I'm honestly in love with the look & wish I did it sooner! I wasn't able to get ALL of the black paint out but maybe I'll revisit the tips another weekend and finish them to my standard.
My rotors have been slightly warped shortly after I got it but I never got around to them since they would only cause vibration around +120km/h & most of my driving is at most maybe 85km/h due to the nature of my commute (city driving but long intersections making them like small highway stretches). I was about to go to Montreal for the Osheaga music festival and decided I should get the front brakes replaced and serviced before a +1000km journey. After lots of decision making and searching of the forums, I decided to go with Centric Cyro-Treated Rotors & StopTech Sport Pads. This set-up is much cheaper than the OEM set-up from the dealership and I'd say performs as well as OEM if not better! Definitely would recommend to anyone changing their brakes on their Brembo's! Feels so nice to have fresh brakes on the car.
Next up on the list before summer is over is to get a full paint-correction done on the vehicle as my OCD kicks in when I see the swirls in the paint on a super bright day and maybe a stage-two exhaust done.
I was very close to having to sell my TL-S in April due to the whole insurance ordeal where my previous insurance company wanted to drop me off the insurance policy. I couldn't stomach the thought of selling my prized possession of which I worked so hard to find and purchase. I just decided to put my mod money for insurance this year so I could keep the vehicle until my rates go down upon my next renewal. So glad I purchased this car last year, it's been smiles ever since & I've only had one problem (APP sensor) with the car in all the 19,000km I've put on since purchasing it. The car is soon to hit it's 140,000km mark which is really surprising me how I've managed to rack up so much mileage in the ~13 months I've owned it.
Hope all you 3G-ers been well!

Still getting used to it...and wrapping my head around the concept of a car payment
but I can't lie...it's a pleasure to drive. In traffic too...lol. Perfect blend of docile and crazy bitch...
Glad to see you're still kickin ass, man.
