The Twiggeh [Living a Lie] Thread (Updated 2.6.18)

Thought I'd build a new thread since my old one is mangled from me moving around all my Photobucket photos.

I know we are falling by the dozens but I am an original owner. Bought the car new on December 26th, 2005 and it had 7 miles on it. Picture of the car when it was brand new. Maybe a month old.

Bought some Racing Hart's and put my Tein SS all in the same day. You can see how old the picture is by the oldschool Motorola Razr.

At this point I still only had my Wheels, Tein's ASpec Kit and an Intake. Then I was the test vehicle for the first XLR8 Exhaust.

I lived most of my life in the wonderful Sonoran Desert and always had a good backdrop for photos.

STARGATE

I LIKE SIDE PHOTOS. LOL

My car has seen much different scenery over the past 2.5 years. Moving to St. Louis have been a change. Winter tires, salt, shitty roads. I work downtown and driving on the streets is like navigating a fucking mine field.

Iv'e added XLR8 J-Pipe, XLR8, HFC... I also ended up getting a Tanabe Tour Medallion Exhaust. Ended up getting RB rotors pads and SS lines and added Motul 5.1. Have done many upon many drain/refills with D4. Had timing belt service and also added XLR8 Motor Monts. Replaced 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches, which I am about to do again. THANKS SWOOSH! and added the CF CSL Lip Spoiler.

I ran some Varrstoen ES1.1.2 BBS LM Reps - 19x8.5+34 and 19x9.5+34 in Hyper Black but only ran those for a short time and don't have any pics.

In the past 10 months I have gone from 100,000 miles to 125,000 miles and the car is still strong. One issue I have is that the car feels sloppy... My compliance bushings are shot so I ordered those as well as pretty much every other suspension bushing and hopefully that will fix the sloppiness I feel on the road at times.

I also have to give a huge thanks to Anil (Swoosh) who has really helped me, or should I say I have helped him do a lot of recent work on my car. New Coils, Spark Plugs, Lower Runners, etc... I owe him more than the bottle of single malt scotch I gave him a few months back.

New Coils

Lots of LUUUUBE!

Then "we" installed shorter shafts in the front.

Some pictures of a recent headlight restoration as well as some carbon fiber love...

I will upload some more pics tomorrow. I have some crazy snow pics from the past 2 winters and also the pics of the lower runner install and another photo shoot.

Then some surprises. I order some new wheels and tires. And some other stuff may be on the way.

That was the exact color TL my parents bought back in 04. That car was the most amazing and beautiful thing in the world. I would have loved to have mod it like this.

It was an awesome touch to a good date, to pick the girl up in my parents new TL. That was highschool, good memories.
Eventually my folks told me to stop putting miles on their car.

Soon Danielson... They arrived today. Tires arrived Saturday. Still waiting on custom spacers for the front. I ordered them from https://www.motorsport-tech.com/ - Everything is made to order. Hub bore centric and wheel centric. They said they will be machined within 3-5 days and then shipped out. That means I should have them by mid next week. Also waiting on my Blue Password JDM extended closed end lugs.

Until then, here are some more pics. Like I said before - I HELPED Anil install my runners. LOL. Iv'e learned quite a bit from him.

Let's just say that they only recently started making this wheel in a 19 with some concave goodness.

Damn! Nice progress over the Years!

Very interested in your color/width/offset choice! I guess Work Metal Buff or GT silver. Not a wheel whore so won't attempt width and offset, lol!

A few more old pics before I get to some newer stuff. Just a few pics before I took the Concept One Wheels off at the end of last summer.

One pic from Winter 2012/2013.

So I ordered a bunch of parts. Some needed and maybe some not so needed. My car has been a little sloppy feeling so I decided to place all of the bushings, nuts, washers, bolts etc... I also ordered Ingalls rear arms since my current arm is seized in the rear and the toe can no longer be adjusted.

Compliance bushings.

Last teaser until I get them on. Color is GTS and they are the "deep concave" option. The ultra deep concave's only come in 19x10.5 and 19x11. wasn't going to go that route and super stretch some tires.
