got some new lighting today. Diode Dynamics out of St. Louis was at the National Meet and I spoke to one of the guys for a while. Their business is between work and home so I stopped in and picked up these.

Well, the are designed a day tested in the United States. Assembled overseas. The quality seems really good though. And these are very bright.

BRIGHTNESS
Diode Dynamics offers several brightness options so you can choose what fits you best. These options are listed by the design and the lumen output of each bulb:
SMD18: Lower brightness than OEM bulbs, but still provides the crisp white, modern color of LEDs.
HP8: Slightly lower brightness than OEM bulbs.
XP80: Slightly brighter than OEM bulbs. These are bright!
Lumens: BUYER BEWARE! Most sellers just provide "calculated" lumen numbers, based on the maximum potential brightness of the LED chips on the bulb. For example, if a bulb has five 10-lumen chips, they will rate it at 50 lumens. However, this is not accurate, as the design of an LED bulb does not get rid of heat fast enough to run the LEDs at maximum.
These "calculated" lumen ratings are much, much higher than the true, measured light output, so it will look like competitors' bulbs are brighter than ours. This is because Diode Dynamics does not provide inflated "calculated" numbers; we believe it is misleading. We test the actual brightness of the bulbs in our lab, to provide real lumen output measurements. QUALITY
LED Components. Diode Dynamics uses only the highest quality LED chips in the production of its bulbs. This means we use only brand-name suppliers such as Epistar, Cree, Osram, and Samsung.
While Diode Dynamics bulbs may look the same as others on the market, most copycat bulbs use economy-grade LED chips in order to reduce costs. This greatly reduces the reliability and overall brightness of the bulb when you compare it to Diode Dynamics.
Construction. Although LED technology allows for extremely long bulb life, the market is flooded with cheap LED bulbs that fail prematurely due to inferior construction. The worst enemy of LEDs is excessive heat, and when bulbs are not designed properly, they do not disperse heat as well, leading to premature failure.
Off-brand, cheap bulbs exhibit poor solder uniformity, high levels of flux in the solder, uneven chip placement, low-gauge terminal wires, poor assembly, and bulbs held together with inferior adhesives. At best, solder joints will crack and fail on low-quality LEDs after a few weeks of use. In the worst case, these bulbs can damage housings as the extra flux and adhesive evaporates and creates a residue on the lens of the housing.

They really put the research in, those guys.....they were here couple times at Fast Fridays and they were cool enough to sponsor the National meet, come out from STL and give out GENEROUS discounts to members....not like a 5% discount

I posted this in the bushing thread but wanted to here as well.
I've had that sloppy feeling in my car for a while now. Decided to replace most of the suspension bushings to hopefully remedy the situation. Here is what was replaced.
Front compliance bushings X2 (factory)
Front shock absorber bushings X2 (Moog)
Front lower arm bushings X2 (factory)
Rear Yamashita bushings X4 (factory) [these are in the knuckles]
Rear toe and camber arms X4 (Ingalls)
All nuts, bolts and washers associated with the above parts
Here are my thoughts. The car definitely feels different. I don't think it's drastic but it is a bit better. When I hit large bunps/dips/holes, the car does do a better job of nit wandering off. It seems to want to absorb the road a little better and not bounce the wheels slightly off the road. My example would be, if you are breaking over bumps and your suspension is too stiff you will get some wheel hop. I had that before and it was obviously due to my 130,000 mile bushings because that is almost all the way corrected.
The car is also now about 1/2" higher on all 4 corners. I was at 24" ground to fender and bow I am just about 24.5"
Overall I do think it has helped. Next I will probably replace the other 4 arms in the rear as I do not believe you can just replace the bushings within the arm. I don't think they are sold separately.

I purchased a redlinegoods arm rest cover and steering wheel cover. I did both in Black Napa Leather with additional padding and Black stitching.
They provide instructions via their website that are specific to our car. I started by glueing the foam padding to the original material.
Then I started stretching the leather over and was trying to figure out how to get everything perfectly aligned. I didn't want to not get it perfect so at this point I was like...
I took it to an upholstery shop and they did this for $40.
I am having the steering wheel sent to one if the RedlineGoods recommended installers. More to come!
