Small Update

Wish I had a better update but here is what I do have.

My old hood dampers would not hold up my hood anymore so i ordered new ones. Decoded to paint them. Here is the before and after.

Had to get my Ingalls arms installed... The right rear was completely seized and had to be cut out. They could not even get it out with an air hammer.
VIDEO

Here is the result.

New arms and all new hardware.

Also went to get an alignment. Had the rear camber set to -2.0 and the fronts are at -1.7. Toe is at 0.00 - 0.002.

Wanted to show this as well. When I was test fitting the wheels I put the Muteki Super Tuner Lugs on. They should be called the SUPER SHITTER lugs. After only a test fitment all of them are scratched up and peeling. No wonder they came "free" with the wheels. Muteki should truly be ashamed to have these on the market. Just as an example I took a few pics of one of the Muteki lugs next to my McGard spline drives. The Mutekis were on my car for 5 min. The McGards were on for 3 years. Mcgard lugs do not have one blemish on them at all.

Now for the wheels. The rears rub quite a bit. I need to get the fenders rolled so I took them off for now. Here are a couple of pics with the tires mounted.

A little update. Ordered a new Jpipe. I lowered my car to about 24" ground to fender about 9 months ago and my XLR8 V1 jpipe took a beating.

Out with the old. This jpipe has been on the car since 2010 and it has help up well. never had any issuews when I wasn't so low.

In with the new. Took some advice from Anil and wrapped it with DEI titanium wrap and High temp Silicone. Came out pretty good. Used 50 feet of wrap.

Now for the wheels. I also ordered some raised white tire letters from Treadwear. These guys are great and the letters came out really nice. I had to take a scrubbing of the tire and the Potenza letters came out perfect. The Bridgestone letters were about 10% too large. I called them and they took care of it with no questions. Remeasured for them and they will be here Tuesday. Check them out. http://tredwearletters.com/

I had to get my rear fenders rolled. I am only running -2 degrees of camber and didn't want to go any further. The wheels are 19x9.5+25 in the rear and 19x9.5+38 up front. All 4 tires are 235x35. I am running a 5mm spacer in the front. I ordered from these guys at http://www.motorsport-tech.com/wheel_adapters.html. They build custom spacers in any size you want. anywhere from 3mm - 100mm. Yes I said 100MM! They also make them hub centric to your car and wheel centric to whatever your wheel bore is. These are badass.

WHEELS... I test fitted them Thursday evening and it was getting dark. Didn't have the Nikon on me so only took a few cell phone pics. Here they are, until I can get more.

I will hopefully be able to let everyone know next weekend. I have not had time to do the bushings yet.

Thanks... I need to touch it up. The rears have been rubbing just a little and it's taking its toll on the rear letters.

I hope to have time next weekend to get the bushings done. Here is what I have so far. I know there are other parts that could be ordered to work in conjunction with these but here is my starting point.

51394-SEP-A01 - BUSH ASSY., FR. COMPLIANCE - $27.71 - x2

51393-SEP-A01 - BUSH, FR. ARM (LOWER) - $21.87 - x2

0181-S84-A00 - BOLT, TRAILING ARM (12X68) - $1.70 - x4

90215-SB0-003 - NUT, SELF-LOCK (12MM) (SATO RASHI) - $0.84 - x2

90119-SEP-A00 - BOLT, FLANGE (14X100) - $4.11 - x2

90124-SEP-A01 - WASHER, PLAIN (14MM) - $1.91 - x8

90122-SEP-A00 - NUT, FLANGE (14MM) - $1.33 - x2

90123-SEP-A01 - WASHER, PLAIN (12MM) - $0.64 - x4

90181-S84-A00 - BOLT (12X68) - $1.70 - x4

90215-SB0-003 - NUT (12MM) - $0.84 - x2

90119-SEP-A00 - BOLT, FLG (14X) - $4.11 - x2

90122-SEP-A00 - NUT, FLANGE - $1.33 - x2

52365-SM4-004 - BUSH A, RR. ARM (LOWER) (YAMASHITA) - $11.96 - x4

51810-SDA-A01 - BUSH, FR. SHOCK ABSORBER - $20.63 - x2 (I also have 2 MOOG Front Shock Absorber Bushings. Not sure which I'm Going To Use)

More info on the reasoning behind all this can be found here. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/higher-mileage-crew-lets-talk-bushings-910079/

Very nice progress sir. I remember your car from way back in the beginning. It was super clean and still is. I think you changed your sn a couple of times, too. You went by The Apostle for a while, right?

I'm really glad you finally went with a more aggressive fitment because the new setup is super nice. Those white letters on the tires really add a nice touch since your wheels a little dark.

MINOR UPDATE

Ordered some new exhaust gaskets from Tanabe USA. These old ones lasted me almost 5 years. And yes, I also bought new hardware.
by

My new lugs came in from Zerg Industries, but they sent me the wrong ones. They sent 12x1.25. They were nice enough to express mail me the correct size... However, once again I had a problem. 2 of the lugs were not threaded all the way through. I think this is a bad sign! I tried to tap them myself with a standard 12x1.5 bot and some tapping lube. Well, that shit didn't work. I ended up getting the bolt stuck in the lug. needless to say, I will have 2 more lugs arriving Thursday. Pics:

yes I did. I just got them in. They had to remake them because the sizing was off on the first run.

Welp, Steven - It wasn't easy. I had to put the helmet on first and then maneuver the glasses in like I was deflowering a sweet young lady. The glasses are what allowed me to run the best lap of the day.
