Wow how did I miss the update?!?! Nicely done sir!

I think if you took the metal piece off of the hood, had it filled in and colormatched, it would look MUCH better!

Whatever you decide to do, props for doing something different

Thank you all for the comments. I know that more work needs to be done but again i did what i could with what i could use. I was thinking about making the piece part of the bumper but that takes a lot of time, which is something i don't have at this moment. here are so pictures.

It's different; I really like it.

Also, I thought you had Type-S diffusers in your headlights.

Looks good need to fill in the gap tho..Like the other guy said try fixing the piece on the hood to match the grill. Also you should paint, that silver part under the grill and between the bumper, black.

Great chop, guitar!
Although I think you should've eliminated the gap a tiny bit for a more seamless look. Or even the gap with the bumper [for a more uniform gap between the grille, bumper and hood].

Props on the originality. Imo it looks better than both 09' and 12' grills, flows better with this gen car than the new 4th gen TLs. Overall I like the stock grill on our cars the best. This looks great, just not my cup of tea . I must say though this is one of the better grills I've seen

Looks pretty decent, I think the grill flows better that that type S Apec lip. Looks like you used some real paint hopefully, I see some equipment in the background. I would definitely consider protecting it with some film like nano fusion (if you can find it). I wish Avery could get there shit together and start making it again.

If it were me. I would mold the ends of the grille into that little outter trim piece going around the grille. Then I would extend the top of the grille to meet the hood. The grille has awesome potential but it just needs some modification to make it flow.

bump. did you ever fix that gap?

reason i ask is , i have a gap on my grille and i don't know what's a good fix for it. right now i just stuck some weather strip in the gap, but isnt the greatest look IMO. luckily my car is gray and the weather strip is gray/black so the gap isnt as noticeable.

gap before weather strip:

gap after

gap w/ strip in the sun light (you can see the strip since it's a lighter color)

good work. i think it'll look better if you gave it some contrast. try cf vinyl, plasti dip or wrap it in a gun metal.

its too silver

Not horrible, but kind of out of place.
It looks like your car is carrying a shield.

Hmm

I liked it, not as much as factory on your car but you did a good job. If you still want to do a conversion. You should try the MDX, I don't know if it's possible but it would look soooo sick, and u got the skills[IMG][/IMG]

I have to agree, looks like a big piece of plastic just stuck on to your grill.

That one looks shopped. It really does.

But good lord that grill looks really good on your car esp with the aspec kit. It almost seems like Acura put the shrooms down and made a good 5g sedan.
