DYNO DONE...dyno with air fuel ratio - $25...
PROBLEMZ??? Car is running LEAN...
AND THE DYNO NUMBERS READ 248hp/220lbs tq... but before you guys say ooooh thats nothing, the dyno guy stated "dyno dynamics read lower than dynojet 15-20% ..."
Happy with the numbers... although a certain aziner pulled similar numbers on a 6speed base tl ... caugh caugh not gonna say any names let him speak on it
video will be up later, youtube is under maintenance
I should go on a dynojet so I can read 300hp to the wheels LMFAO

Well..read again. What enigmaos and Al were talking about was getting their numbers on a dynojet. Also, Blackura has less mods..and he pulled off a 263hp....either way, its at the wheels what really matters

WHAT... I was hoping for 280.. Since it is not a dynojet I won't read that high right...?
Technically putting allon's ua7 project on the same dyno will show that his numbers are probably closer to what the mystery 6speed 3rd gen nbp that was at dyno day put down aka 238hp/210lbs tq... But since allon didn't make it to the dyno we will never know
DYNO DAY is every last sunday at Auto Master AMR ($25 can't be beat)
On to the numbers which you guys are down playing:This is precisely the reason why I don't like dynos... They do not measure the cars hp/tq alone and it seems people rely on them like they are the word of god
The purpose of a dyno is solely for tunning
Air fuel ratio was what I went for, all the parts on my car are proven to "show gains"... Yet running lean... I am actually LOSING power (which you guys can't seem to understand)
If you guys would look at my graphs the way I am looking at them you would see that I am running lean accross the graph... Only running slightly correct at low rpms (crusing speed)...
Pretty much vtec is nonexistent top end and I actually lost torque at the top end even though hp stayed level
The tunner at the shop recommended I seek a greddy piggyback (ultimate) to correct the air fuel ratio.
As is right now I am going to take it easy on the driving and work a little ot on the side to get the tunning done
Yo Darksom... The g timer is CRAP... I have a G Tech Pro RR coming later this afternoon, I will post up details as to what it reads and so on...
Also with the assistance of bearcat I was able to get some much needed info to plug into the gtech pro rr to get some accurate quartermile times...
Ps. After the atlp jpipe and a redyno... The Greddy ultimate + tunning is my next plan of action
Lastly I researched dyno dynamocs... Nikcnamed THE HEARTBREAKER, they do in fact read lower than dynojet... But it is in fact also more accurate (not a cheap machine either)
Stay tunned for tunning

Why do you say it is crap? Did Bear say it is crap? I almost bought that mofo thing! I would have had some other dudes go in with me to get some NA runtimes, but what the fuck??????

No worries, be glad, you've got some great power for a NA 5AT!!!
Yeah, dyno is just a reference and tuning tool anyway...
Plus they all read different so you gotta stick to one.
I read Hondata's experience with the TL on a Dyno machine, and they they that it's showing is inconsistent and that it feels stronger/ performs better in the real world. Something about the TL's brain (ECU) not liking the dyno...LOL
I sure believe that seeing how hard your car pulls on the hway and sounds amazing (like a race car) doing so, by the way.

thanks for the compliments on the sound, I was doing it on purpose so you could hear how the tl-s tranny drives very similar to a stick shift... never did go full throttle since I don't know that highway...
had to get off tho so I don't knw if you noticed how I disappeared but I got distracted by driving along side you and I had missed my exit like 10 whole minutes before
in any event I just got the Gtech Pro RR... this thing is soooo insane... I just set it up in 2 screens and the thing is already rev matching... I was freaked out looking at my tach from the above and bellow to see if the gtech was right... and guess what it is... did a 1/4 mile run in traffic and finished it in like 30 seconds at 75mph I believe

here is a picture of the unit... I am lefty so I mounted it on the left side

sorry i missed out on dyno day and the last page of the thread
my ready...
ALLLL dyno's are different. i bet if you used the dyno i did, you might see similar numbers to me or not.... or if i used that dyno, i might have been lower...
dyno's are tools that are used to measure your increase in power before/after modifications. the whole method of comparison is based SOLELY on using the same dyno. i bet i could go to 3 different places, and get 3 different ranges of #'s
BUT.. i used the same dynojet for both my cars, the UA6 and UA7... both cars had the same exact mod's done to them except the blackura had eshit procats... the blackura ran insanely lean (A/f 12.0).. and nobody could figure it out... i think it was the pro-cats
the blackura ran (227whp 198tq )(12.0A/F) with AEM CAI, UR Pulley, CT catback, O.E. spacers and eshift procats. my type-s ran (261whp 238tq)(13.9A/F) with all the same exact mod's WITHOUT pro-cats... the numbers are about in line with a base tl to a type s... but i had these procats on the blackura, which were supposively good for 18whp/20wtq gains !! I always felt that blackura should have realisticly put down 240whp.....
anyways, AL : you should come out by me and do some pulls on the same dyno i used DynoJet , (winiper?).. if you pull the same numbers again like 250~ish, ditch those pro-cats !! more and more i am seeing the un-reliability behind them members are selling sets that have bad upstreams... 04accorcpe had a bad 3rd cat.. i had a bad 3rd cat.. i sold them, then the 2nd cat went bad...... maybe, just maybe, they arent designed with the ULEV in mind.. or maybe, there are a bunch of bad pro-cat's on the market
come out to the island when you get your ATLP J-pipe. we'll do the pre/post dynos of both our cars, and see if our numbers stack up... i plan on dynoing my car just once more... im gonna do a before pull, add the ATLP J-pipe, do a 2nd pull, and then try out the Megan AV6 test pipe, and do another set of pulls...
realisticly, your car should be dynoing ATLEAST 10 more whp then mine since you are Underdriven and have the pro-cats, but maybe, just maybe, your cats are fucked up and they are holding you back... i know they fucked with my UA6's performance..... just my

blackura: I am confused here when is a car lean or rich lmfao... 12 is rich for blackura.... 13.9 is lean for project ua7..
I don't think I want to put my car on a dynojet... plus these guys are having 3 pulls for $25 every friggin month.. after the jpipe comes in I am going to look into controlling the air fuel ratio via the greddy ultimate... ;( (evil grin)
As for the flat straightaway runs... you've got a pm
edit: blackur ur box is full
pm me I am off work till thursday night...

Mobil phone pics FTL.
From what I can see though your car is looking CRACK. Nice to see some originality. Keep it up, you cel phone pics prob do your car no justice though.
