Truereligion's '05 AM 6MT - Progress Thread!

Hey guise,
Figured I'd make a thread for my 2005 Acura TL 6mt. Bought it used in Vancouver in December 2011 with 96,000km on it, currently has 109k. Came with:
  • AEM cold air
  • TL-S tails
  • trunk lip spoiler
  • Koni Yellows/lowering springs (not sure which ones)
  • Aspec front lip.

And what 've done so far:
  • painted the grille and trunk trim piece black (gotta redo grille, it's chipping )
  • replaced the rear speakers with some Polk DB's
  • stripped trunk
  • removed factory sub and wired it for a new one
  • swapped the MTF for synchromesh FM (still sucks to shift )
  • tinted the windows (30% front 20% rear).

My future plans include:
  • 17x8.5 +30, 17x9.5 +35 bronze Volk Te37 with kumho SPTs - might need some front spacers to clear Brembos..coming Sunday!!
  • XLR8 62A poly engine mounts, engine damper
  • CDV delete
  • OEM visors
  • Apsec skirts, rear lip
  • 3rd cat delete, 3" mid section to dual 2.5" mufflers custom exhaust
  • isimple ipod adaptor
  • Polk 10" MM in a small ported box
  • Type S rear side markers
  • either Tein SS coilovers or at least from Ground Control adjustables

Anyway here's a pic of it that I like. More to come once it's more..pictureworthy.

Nice pic, but why are you staying with the stock size 17's with the Volk TE's? why not 18's or 19's?

Found a good deal on some 17s with tires I couldn't pass up. If they don't work out for whatever reason I can sell them or trade them and try again I guess. Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah 18s might be better, maybe I can find a trade somewhere. They'll only be on for a few weeks anyway before it snows. Also could use more of a drop. But damn, losing 10lbs a wheel is an insane upgrade! Thanks for the feedback

Damn 10 pounds per wheel lighter? That's nuts.

I think those wheels look way too small for the car. The actual design of the wheel makes it look even smaller than 17. Other than that the car looks great.
