TopSpeed Pro1's

This is for you ib18c1, stillhere153, and enigmous-

BTW..I'm not done with the whole setup yet, it's a work in progress.

Tell me what you guys think, I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks

Yeah the car probably hasn't been washed in the past 2 months

This pic is taken with the silencers so it looks kinda odd

I think the whole setup wiill look better with the car dropped and rims

Oh and here's the video clip

http://youtube.com/watch?v=2F52LWsR5Uc

Ok so my review on it- It sounds pretty good to me, it's just that the volume and drone is just crazyyyy loud So I'm probably going to definitely be getting resonators and then etc...

Exhaust looks good and sounds good! But the silencers do look goofy i would leave them out. Nice video also!

I swear you are a fly by beast lol... and dido on the silencers they make your car sound like crap... without them I was loving the sound...

ps. did you notice a gain in backpressure with the silencers on I always did with my civic

quick tip about the silencers... get your self some black engine paint... AND SPRAY EM BLACK that way they will be hidden... eh eh eh?

DAMM
they sound mean but realy loud

lol i bet u were hella shocked at first....i know i was when i started to accel the car haha but yeah sounds good and angle is nice

silencers look wierd..itll look a bit better if u paint em...prob can buy it at a local auto shop or house whatever store like lowes/home depot....bbq paint i beleive

theyll still look noticeable black, i bought tanabe silencers for my RSX which was black but was still noticeable, best bet, longer resonator + magna mid muff or stock mid muff

but good shit!
and yes i agree with stillhere, u are a fly by beast rofl
i wish i can do that here....but tehres cops within every block

haha seriously though..that place I just took that video is the SHIT. Like it seriously PERFECT. haha its like a nice atleast 1/4 mile of straight way that ends as a dead end. And theres nothing around it, kinda like a natural preserve kinda thing. but yeah..

Anyways.. yeah man I think i'll paint the silencers for now, thanks for the suggestion, but I def need to get a resonator/midmuffler in though because it's loud as hellllllll..the tone in person sounds real nice. Kinda sounds like its gurgling..kinda haha.

i dont know man it sounds kinda farty unlike the other setups with just a deep low growl, maybe it will get better with the resonators and mid muffler back on.

btw, remove those silencers! they make the exhaust look super cheap.

jeez 95%?
thats a hell lot lol

i regret throwing away my stock mid muffler and resonator...so idk how much itd help....honestly i know theyll help ALOT since they are chambered but u will also lose some high end power compared to straight thru set ups

u can try to put the stock midmuffler in....i honestly dont know how much it would help....i know with the tanabes, i had stg3 then had stg3 removed and jus had the magnaflow installed as a mid muff, that helped kill the drone prob 20% but the tanabes reacted diff...before it was loud everytime, now with the magna its perfect when the car is still cold/chill then it beomces the same in terms of drone when its warmed up....idk man....im still trial and error witht the TL....i had it all figured out in the rsx after 4 set ups ROFL

but yeah, keep us updated on what happens
if i were u...id try to get the stock mid muff in....ur prob only losing like .05-1hp doing so...i think....but yeah stock mid muff + dynomax - silcencers

i plan on installing my stg3 reson soon to perfect the drone with my tanabes haha

but good luck bro

Props for the unique setup! For some reason the video makes it sound like it has a weird tone, not loudness, but the tone sounds weird...

The silencers look ricey, but I bet they reduce a good amount of noise...I'd suggest going with an 18" silencer at least..

well.......i kinda expected how sound would turn out with silencers, and it doesn't surprise me. i think your exhausts volume is about medium; just the way i like it. silencers gotta go man. literally....if i were you, i would get a hammer and smash those.
you have awesome exhausts. don't spoil your mojo.....mmmkay?

Well done. I'm not feeling those silencers either; they're a not very discrete looking. However, if the drone in the cabin is too disturbing as you say it is, then I would probably do the same and keep the silencers in. Sounds great though.

haha thanks for the compliments as well as the suggestions. Haha yeah I know silencers have GOT to go but I think I'll have them painted black until I get resonators..the sound is pretty deep compared to that video in my opinion

you should consider clamps or flanging some of the trial and error stuff, cuz I know b18 is going crazy welding lol

but seriously, I would roll withem as is... you honestly have me contemplating on the hks, I thought I was settled with getting the the tanabe's... but the hks titanium tips are growing on me the more I see them on slammed jdm's car

yeah the HKS is nice. I just really like the sound level of b18c1's car but then again he has a muffler acting as a midmuffler

Not feeling the silencers. They look out of place.

If I were you I'd go with a 2.5 inch piping from the cat back to a 14' magnaflow resonator and two maganflow mufflers... Thats what I have and its look great!

hmm yeah I'm thinking about what resonator/midmuffler to get..probably going to go with aznbo's suggestion of an 18inch resonator

BTW guys haha I don't like the silencers either and dont tend to use them for a long time haha seems like everyone thinks its my permanent solution haah

haha I agree with Tyler on that one..I dont necessarily like the type S tails on NBP really unless you have like chrome/dark chrome/gunmetal rims..Like I've seen it on bforbrian and his looks real nice with the rims..idk TypeS tails look good on every other color though haha

Before springs though..how about rims??

JJaber06-Haha yeah dude np..oh and the rockblocke tints for the tails..I definitely loved those but I got pulled over for them the first day in Virginia haha I was thinking maybe going a little custom on the rockblockers or something so its somewhat legal haha..just worried it's gonna come out shitty and its gonna be a waste of 100 bucks?
