because im waiting for a job to finish, i'll explain the exhaust setups.

this is what the exhaust looks like all the way from the heads.

Primary cats-->Jpipe-->3rd cat-->stock exhaust.

you can upgrade any of these 4 parts.
the Jpipe being the easiest and con free.
the two latest and greatest jpipes get rid of the 3rd cat.
XLR8 and or RV6 has them.

Primary cats-->Aftermarket jpipe-->stock exhaust.

then you can either do PCD's and or exhaust.

I was honestly thinking of doing the J pipe for now then an exhaust. Deleting cats makes me weary of check engine lights lol

the 3rd cat doesnt have a sensor, so by replacing it with a jpipe, you cant go wrong!!

yes, replacing the primary cats with straight pipe, you do have to use a defouler for the 02 sensors.

If you're afraid of CEL's then just be happy with your 600 count Type S cats...don't mess with em...you'll add rasp and you WILL LIKELY have to deal with CEL's (even though, as Justin mentioned) there are ways to combat that.

Exactly. They flow better then base models and I really don't want the headache of using defoulers and so on. so J pipe and exhaust it is lol

no desprect to the exhaust nerd but this is getting annoying. all he talk about is jpipe-to resonator to muffler. common.really? this is freaking boring.

^and your constant bitching about Justin is boring and is getting old. You come in this thread and not comment about the gorgeous KBP, rather you just go off on Justin.

Either suck him off and become friends or keep your shit to yourself.

Steven, you have a good eye. Keep an eye out for these members:
kingkongdave
parasitus
EAC

I really wouldn't be surprised if they were all related or in some weird "Ruin Internet Forum" Cult.

Anyway, back to a KBP with a stock primary cat and jpipe and catback!

Yup, Stock as fuck...Theoretically if I went to a muffler shop what would be equivalent as an aftermarket j pipe and third cat delete ??

nothing, because the jpipe has bends and is shaped like a J.
so the exhaust shop would have to break out the Autocad, make several Jigs, test fit, etc.
which would probably translate into their price.

you're better off, buying a jpipe from one of our vendors who has already gotten this process down, with no fitment issues.

Well I asked because I seen people asking about different stages of exhaust mods lol I was planning on buying the aftermarket one anyways

Well, Anil did bypass a traditional jpipe and had his catback custom run right off the primaries.

Boy did this thread get a cleanup...

Nice KBP & 6speed to boot, good choices. Join the UA7 squad if you haven't already.

I wish there was a thumbs down button next to the thanks button for stupid/useless/pointless comments like davy crockett over there.
