well, i just installed 07 tl-s tail lights and side marker lights on my one week old 06 tl. looks amazing BUT, it wasn't easy installing them. it took me about 2 1/2 hours. i'm not the most handiest person. plus i was trying to be sooo careful not to break or scratch anything. it's mostly clips that hold the bumper together. also got #mM tint installed yesterday. also installed tl-s knob and carbon fiber front trim. waiting for rear deck spoiler to arrive. will post pics soon. car is coming together.

i love the 07' tails. most guys on here said they pretty easy to install. it took me about a little under 3 hours to install. i'm not the most handiest person. i think they will charge about 2-3 hours of labor. you can do it your self or go to a body shop. it might be cheaper.

Took about 1 1/2 hours to do this install...not difficult at all. Do one side at a time...it is pretty much just clipped on with like one bolt and one screw! You can really do this yourself...seriously, don't feed the beast by giving your money to the dealer...spend that labor money on something for your ride!!!

i used the stock ones, lenght was not an issue. i just cut the oem battery connectors off the cable and put some monster crimpless connectors on there for my new battery terminal connectors, you can see them in the pic they're gold plated, but you dont need to do all that, your oem connectors should fit on those battery posts/terminals no prob.

Thumbs up Ebay Decklid Spoiler

Hello guys!
The S-type tail lights are awesome. I planned to upgrade my 05 TL with 07 type S Tail Light. From what i've been reading, i have to take off my stock bumper to install these tail light?
Also i check eBay for the Decklid Spoiler and some of them are selling the one that can be assembly with 3M tape. Do you guys recommend that or should i get an OEM from the dealer?
Thanks guys for the input.

I've just bought my car and pretty much a newbie at this.

Once again, looks great, on a side not: You should really look into the sides and front or at least the sides for a moire muscular look, the A-Specs look kinda skimpy next to your sides. and it will mtcht eh rear perfectly too.

Answer to post #93...yes, you do have to remove the bumper, but do it one side at a time. Read the first post of this thread for details. Secondly, go OEM on that decklid spoiler, that 3M is gonna eventually give you some grief...don't go cheap. Remember, you pay for what you get. Always pay a bit more for the quality stuff! ...oh yeah, welcome

Response to post #94...I agree with RJ, you should definately kick up your front and sides to match the rear. I would love to throw down the cash yesterday for his kit, but I don't have an extra $2300 just lying around...cash is tight these days!

i got mine from ebay i forgot who was the seller, but that's about how much i paid $170 paint mathes perfectly, i installed it myself. it also used just the 3M tape, trust me that thing ain't going nowere. had it for more than two years now. just make sure you prep the surface before installing. i used rubbing alchohol to remove all the wax/sealant down to the clear coat of the mounting surface

very easy. just remove the inner liner. then unplug the led plug from the marker. then squeeze the clamps on the actual marker to unlock the marker from the body. then just push the new one in. good luck.

Ditto on the questions about having the a-spec rear lip on. If you do the method where you just loosen each side seperately, do you have to remove the a-spec lip on the rear?

Man, that sucks royal a$$. Why is it that the drunk ones are always the ones without insurance? Why can't they learn their lesson? Thank God you are okay and your body will recover from the damages that fool put you in. Your TL was a work of art that can always be remastered after your insurance supplies the canvas. You, on the other hand, should heal so when can enjoy your masterpiece again. Real soon!! Glad you're okay and we can all redo these mods from scratch. Can't wait to see your pics.

First off, glad to hear that you are okay...that could have been really bad! Secondly, I am very sad to hear about your car! To be honest, you car was one of the first that I saw on this forum when I signed up a couple of months back and how I learned of hondaacuraworld and how to get my 07 lighting stuff. You car looked great and I hope that you are bring another Anthracite to Mod-Life for us! No 07 TL-S though...they replaced our beloved color with the TSX Carbon Grey Pearl...just not the same!

Anyways, it is always the guys who cause the most damage that never have the insurance...and then they try and sue us!!! Dirty bastards! Again, glad to hear that you are okay. Beautiful car but it is still just a car...it is the cargo inside that matters the most!

^-- A lot of people have had this problem and was discussed in another thread. Tim is mailing us out replacements and return shipping labels for the bad tails. My drivers side tail had the debris in it. I am supposed to be getting my replacement tomorrow. Just email Tim and he will get you taken car of. I'm surprised you got one as he was checking all the tails that he shipped out this week.
