Wheels?
i got a 06 tl. Looking into TIS10 20 x 8.5 wheels. dealers up here sya i have to run 235/30/20. But u guys are running 245/35/20 and 245/30/20. is it much of a diff. Is one size safer than another. They told me with th3 235/30/20 that it was easy to damage the rims. Also did u guys add extra tpms to the new wheels. If so if u summer tires and keep the stock wheels for winter do i have to take the car to acura everytime i change the tires or do the sensors start working once i mount the wheels on.

hey TL-z,
go to http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp and look at the tire calculator... that would tell you everything you need to know...
I was personally running 245/35/20 all around... and driving in NYC everyday... with no problems... other have been running 245/30/20 with similar success...

Shops told me if i wanna run 20's then i need the 30 so they wont rub. By the way..did u add new tire pressure monitors to the wheels? Did u roll the fenders at all?
I just use the stock tire pressure monitors.

I'm trying to get away with at least 245/30-20 tires in the rear this summer. I have 225's now I believe (if that's 10 mm less than the stock size, bc I know i'm def. 10 mm smaller than the stock TL tires). I also have the Eibach Prokit Springs which are about a 1" drop.
Whats the biggest size tires you think I could fit w/o rubbing and usually having a semi-heavy drunk daily? I'm thinking probably 255 at the most (even then I might have to trim the wheel wells). I'm also thinking about the adjustable coilovers from TEIN also ... hmmm ...
I found a TL in here with 275's in the back ... that's insane! I'd probably want like 275/20-20 tho so the profile isn't has large ...

The purpose is to create more space, so your bigger & wider tires & wheels could travel... there is an existing lip on the rear fender that gets rolled upwards to make more room...
Hope this helps...

What kind of drop and springs you're using homeboy? I'm really on the fence on 20's because I don't want my stuff looking like some hotwheel car. I want to fill out the wheel wells but I don't want my car looking like its some bigfoot. I think you're setup looks very clean.

Thanks 07 Silver TL-S
