Tints...

I know they're are threads all over the place with pictures of tint comparisons but I'd like to see a sticky with every percentage of tint as a guide.

I'm really undecided between 35% and 20%

I think 35 may be too light and 20 may be too dark

Can anyone post some pictures of the two for me?

Its all preference.

On my Desert Silver RSX-S, I have 35 on the front and 20 in the back. It doesn't look too dark because of the tan interior.

On the Nighthawk Black Pearl TL-S I have 50 in the front and 35 on the back. It actually looks darker than the RSx because of the Dark Interior plus black exterior.

LOL....I hear you man....one of my peeves as well.

OP like the person above said it's all about preference. How dark your tint looks also has a lot to do with the exterior AND interior color of the car.

My car is DGP on Camel, with 30% on the sides and 20% on the rear windshield, perfect IMO.........

Rear (OMGHELLASUNKNEGATIVECAMBERLOL):

Everyone thinks cops around here suck pretty hard, but I've never been pulled over for tints before which is good. I had an all black Pathfinder with black interior with 5% all the way around. Talk about dark lol. I definitely grew out of that.

I was just hoping that someone with the same exact color combo of my car could post some pictures of tints if they had them.

i have an album cleverly titled "tints" if you'd like to see some 35% Llumars on my WDP. i'm extremely happy with everything about them.

whatever you do...please make sure wherever you go knows how to do the quarter windows correctly, and also doesnt cut around the rear brake light. that is completely unecessary (even with limo tint) and looks like crap IMO. thats my best advice to you.

Thanks everyone for your contributions! I'm going to get 35% all the way around. I'm going for a clean "revised factory" look and I think the 20% may be too dark and take away attention from the look of the rest of the car.

P.S. Here is a pic of of one of my old cars, a 2001 Pathfinder with 5% all the way around. Insane dark. Noontime in the middle of July looked like midnight in December in this thing lol.

A few weeks ago I had my 35% taken off and 20% added. Go with the 20% if you can get away with it. Doesn't "look" like much, but you can tell as soon as you get in. The sun is very bright when I drive to work every morning and now, it's not nearly as bad with 20%. My interior is Ebony/Taupe also. I plan on getting 50% on the windshield later.

35% TINT....yes I was "riddin' derty" at the time......lol

20% TINT....a little cleaner....

living in vancouver bc front tint can be max 50% what would be recommended for the back and rear 35% or 20%? 50/20 seems good but the transition may not look smooth? 50/35 may be too light? I have a 06 TL ebony interior anthracite metallic exterior

Great choice on going with the 35%; the result will be nice. I went with 35% Llumar non-metallic all around:
