Got the car yesterday, absolutely LOVE it... few things need addressing, but ill be sure to get on top of that in due time..

Aside from shipping half the parts, i met alot of cool AZ people that came by, swapped out some stuff... had over 2 dozen nice looking 3G's at my house in the past 4 days.... busiest week of my life. cant believe i took the ENTIRE car apart and sold EVERYTHING in like 4 days


The 4G section is pretty dead.. so ill be around here all the time

i thought about getting it few months back, but i just couldn't get used to the body shape...maybe it'll take a year to get used to it.
in the meantime, hopefully there'll be more aftermarket parts for the 4G TL soon.

Back to a clean slate. I too have grown on the 4G when I see it on the road. Let the modding official begin. I know first thing on the list is the DIY black headlights.

I wont lie..

I never liked the 4G either... But trust me.... Back in 2003, when the x/gf got the TSX and her dad had a 2G TL-S (which i've always had a sweet spot for), I started paying attention to acuras... the 3G came out, and i thought it was UGLY.. i ended up owning TWO of them,,

Acura (Honda) knows what they're doing.... the car is too ahead of its time, in two years, everybody in the world will have one... just like the 3G and the Accords... It's so ahead of its time, its... well.... ADVANCED (thats what my friend said about it)

13GB Hard Drive (gay could have used like at least 60gb)

real iPod hook up with, navi integrated rolling wheel controls... USB port for flash drives.. upload pictures on to navi background, play mp3s... it takes DVD-RW Data CD (4.7GB of MP3)... the navi screen is VGA... its sick... thats what sold me on the car the most...


Theres alot of differences between the UA8 & UA9.... for the extra money, you get sporty seats, AWD, quad exhausts, different headlights, better stock 18's


The Tech package has all that crazy technology, and Higher quality leather on the seats as well... So AWD-TECH has the sickest seats...

It heavily competes with the GS350 AWD.. in fact, its better and cheaper

Probably the Engine Mounts (Side mount on UA9 is stubbier, front and rear look similar)

Havent looked under the car yet, just the engine bay and under all the plastics... Throttle body is bigger

On the engine, they have two big ass hooks for lifting out the engine block... i guess since lowering it out the bottom isnt easy on this car with the new drivetrain (Proper 3G way is to remove subframe, and pull engine out from the bottom)

Make that 4G stand out, it's slowly growing onto me too. I have the utmost faith in you that you'll have the nicest 4G around, just like the 3G.

I noticed you changed your license plate from "XXPLORER" to "Blackura" to "UA7" what next? UA9? haha, I can't even change my plates once, I'm too indecisive.

I had one as a loaner for a week, and the tech package is top notch. I got used to the knob and everything. You are going to really enjoy that. Real iPod hookups, and nice bright screen with hi res (and colors are customizable). And it starts ripping all your music CD's and saving them to the HD once you pop them in! And HFL is a definite upgrade. I think the roof console coulda been done better but I gotta say the fit and finish are pretty tight on the newer car. The 4G styling never really bothered me. I can already see it as being pretty badass. All it needs is a grill revision and some wheels and a drop and I think it will look pretty tight. I cruised the 4G forum for a bit, and there's one guy on there with 20" Volk GTMs... and you are right... there's very little action over there (obviously). I'm sure you will do some crazy things over there. Congrats... link us up when you start modding over there!

loved the UA7, i know your going to have the most noticible UA9 anywhere. still not feeling the body but i can always admire proper customizations. good luck on new 4G. keep up updated. hopefully mods wont bother your 4G in the 3G section.

Well I think it'll scream old person till it's dumped on 20s... then it will look pretty good! I mean to tell you the truth, an unmodded 3G seems like a prudent, sensible car for 'older' folks as well.

Nice timeline.

I had a 4G as a loaner the other week, and I was impressed. The exterior doesn't do it for me like the 3G (and it never will), but the interior and the performance were there. Looking forward to what you do with it...just be sure to let us know over here as none of us really venture into 4G .

good to see you rolling on the top of the line 4G TL already. Drove it, absolutely the driver's car from the interior. They really did upgrade the overall quality and feel all around the car, still the exterior isn't much of an impressive part for me. I loved your black TL and your white TypeS, hoping to see you mod the shit out of the 4G as well. undoubtedtly, you will make it the best looking TL in this forum sooner or later.

I beleive the 4G has good potential in the making of a sweet looking TL after installing an OEM Bodykit/20inch Wheels/Lowering/and among other things!!! A side from the exterior, I must say I love the interior of the 4G. The only thing I dislike most about the 4G is how much longer the car is vs our 3G. The 4G feels big but I am sure you will convince many other here that has doubts about the 4G after you mod it!!

glad to see you're sticking around Allon, and congrats on the beautiful 4g!

you couldn't have said it better how Acura/Honda design is way ahead of it's time. I have hated how the 3g looked in the past....later realizing that i fell in love with it...owning two ua6 one after another myself. 4G, civic, 2g tsx all looked bad at first but after getting used to it...i think it looks better than their predecessors (well 4g = with 3g :p)

but again congrats and I can't wait to see it modded!

its a hard transition... i loved my 3G too... but... i am in love with my 4G also... unfortunately, i dont break peoples necks like i used to with the new car (however, i do get some stares)... but everything about the 4G is SICK... awd, insane interior, tech package..
