SSM TL A-Spec 6MT Pictures (BEWARE 56k)

Hope you enjoy the pix. I'll try to post a couple more in a second. Feedback appreciated. The windows have the chromatic <i think that is what it's called> silver <of course> reflective tint.

cTLgo..they are actually less than 1024k in size but they give good detail.

If everyone else is overwhelmed then go to my gallery at :
http://ssam.homeip.net/e107_plugins/...s.php?album=29

You will see the car before and after the A-Spec was done.

My apologies since this is my first picture post here. I figured out a better way to post so that you get the smaller image and you can then click on a link to see a larger picture that fits into a new browser window. From there you can look at it full size if you want.

I'll repost later with these better options.

Sorry everyone!

:shit:

Just one word should cover this...NICE! Just wanna throw this out there so you know, but you already may have been told this...I think they put your A-Spec badge in the wrong place. Its supposed to be in the lower right corner (not upper, under the TL). My dealership did the same thing to the car on the showroom floor and I had to point it out. Check out the instructions that are supposed to come with the badge. Anyone else agree? I'd have them fix it unless you just don't care.

That A-Spec badge is definetly in the wrong place. Other than that, looks good!

Camera is a Cannon PowerShot S50 (5 megapixel). Excellant camera for all around use. Only has a 3x optical and 3x digital zoom but it works for what I use it for. I'd recommend it as a general use camera.

Silver Bullet: Who was your salesman? If you don't want to answer, just PM me. Nice pics. If all goes well, I'll have something in a month but realistically in 3 months so I don't have to finance. woo.

How about interior pics. This is my second choice color combo, but might become my first due to the quartz better matching the interior aluminum.

Only have 2 questions.

1) Why would you taint such a beatiful car with the Dealer's Emblem on the lower left of the back?
2) Whats the little circle on the front bumper (right side, left side of pic)??

MyJohnson -- Don't have pics yet of the interior but it looks like every other ebony interior with Navi.

sepatel -- understand on the badge. I may get that changed shortly. Thanks for the heads up on it.

mobilezen -- Pierre at David McDavid Acura Plano. He knows everyone and a great person to get to know. He's actually British. Tell him Mark sent you.

Casper42 --
1.) I asked them to remove it and they told me how to myself. I'll probably do it myself after I get the A-Spec badge corrected.
2.) That is where the towing hook-up is located. It's actually a universal screw-in for a cable to pull the car out of being stuck. It's not intended for lifting the front. It's described in the owners manual.

Does your TL have navigation? If so, does the reflective tint cause any problems. I want to get reflective tint but all the tint shops around me say there is no such thing as a non-metallic reflective tint.
thanks

thanks to all about the badging. i've removed the dealer emblem and will next move the A-Spec badging.

No, the reflective tint does NOT interfere with the Navi.

I found the best way to remove those dealer emblems. Tell me if this is not a great idea;

Use dental floss. Use as much as you want to cut through the 2-way tape foam. The floss is covered in wax so there is no chance to get any scraping. Just get enough between each hand and use a back-and-forth sawing action and it's done. The floss will break but keep on with more and you'll see how easy it is.

Come on...has anyone thought of this yet?

...yes many people have used either fishing line or floss to take off emblems. Then you soak the sticky tape residue with goo gone or bug and tar cleaner for a couple minutes and it comes right off without damaging wax and/or paint.

Very nice, but the A-Spec badge is not where the installation instructions say to put it. Many are where yours is though. Looks great.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

I got rid of the dealer badge using floss. Used a little sawing action and about 6' of floss and now my car has a cleaner brighter smiling a$$. The A-Spec badge is staying for now until I take tha car in for servicing.

SSM6MTNAVI - I asked about the tint % and they did not say what it was. They said it's less than 28% and it looks that way when you can look through the car. They said I reaped the benefit from it reflecting most of the light as apposed to it cutting out light. At most angles in daylight the only thing people see from outside the car is themselves looking in awe of what they don't have. Get lots of compliments before the light turns green, after that they never can catch up to say anything.
