Spotted this at Hyperfest
Caught my eye because I never seen one at the track competing and road racing with high end/built cars. Thought it was pretty cool. Sorry for the crappy pics in advance.

Anybody know anything about this car? Specs? Who it belongs to?

The engineers of Acura built a track car.
Whoa, the above poster is right.
the decals and paint are totally different.

the hood scoop and the wing look to be the same.

I've seen this car before. They must have painted it, unless the other one was wrecked.

2014 Jeep SRT
SL1K3 has it right. These are 2 different cars. The first one posted looks like a KBP Type-S and the second one is clearly a 2006-or-older model. Compare the headlights, taillights, sidemarkers, mirrors, etc.

Negative, its always been the same chassis since 2004. I ran into Brian Shanfeld and the Honda R&D guys at Autobahn in April and talked to them about it. they converted it to a type s in 07 and recently did that paint job on it they have officially called "burbple" cuz it was supposed to be blue but it always looks a bit purple lol
They couldn't get enough of my TL and were trying to get me into Honda challenge sometime soon lol

Probably a conservative fuel map for the endurance races. Little less power for more mpg's/more time on track instead of in the pits. Pretty effective if you're a bunch of laps ahead of your competitors and a little slower lap time doesn't mean much.
That's just a guess, maybe I'll shoot THR an email and see if they'll tell me.

Just thought I'd keep the TL race car love alive with a snippet from my latest NASA newsletter. Honda R&D with their TL set a track record at Mid-Ohio and won 1st place in TTB both days! OK nay-sayers, dispute those facts! lol
"TTB saw Rebecca Roth driving the Team Honda Research Acura TL for the win on both days, setting a new track record on Saturday with a time of 1:41.695. Saturday saw Jon Cindric in his Porsche Cayman S taking second place, followed closely in third by Patrick Renaud in his Chevrolet Camaro SS. While Sunday still saw Roth in first, Renaud was able lay down a fast lap for second place, with Cindric dropping to third."
