Some photos of my new to me '07 WDP Type S

Some photos I took before claying and rewaxing the next day. The dealer also sent me front bumper plugs as part of the deal.

Maybe it's just the pictures- but it looks like you've got the SAME PROBLEM I HAD. A piece of black foam just above the grill. I carefully removed that with a pair of tweezers.

I know. I have been meaning to take a blade to it and cut it. Keep forgeting. Funny how you had that to. Bumper plugs have been installed as well as WDP splash guards. Lucky for me the 35% window tint was already on the car.

Surprised no one commented on my '88 Jeep Cherokee in the background sitting on 35" tires, 8 1/2" of suspension lift and an exo-skeleton around the outside. The Type S is for pavement, this beast will eat up the rocks!!!

I had the same problem, and I just pulled it out!

No, I decided to go with the auto on this one. I had an '06 TL, 6 speed and traded it for this. So far no regrets.

Why did you trade it? Stop and go traffic all the time? Nice car btw looks good.

I normallly get a different car every 2 - 3 years. I live in a rural area so stop and go does not exist except for between stop lights. My last car and this car were manual so I just thought I would try an auto again. I don't miss those 1st to second shifts on the TL (a little hard to master IMO on this car) or the 3rd gear grind or hard to engage from 2nd to 3rd shift). Bought my '06 on June 3, 2006 so I was getting that itch. Was waiting for the 4g to come out thinking that would be my next car but with the higher pricing and somewhat awkard styling I began to look at other cars ('09 A4 2.0t, '07 335i and Type S's). The '09 A4 was nice but once again too expensive and not fast enough. The BMW was nice but the interior was boring, the i-drive with the nav was horrible, bad cupholders, sport package on the 335i was nice but with the highway miles I drive not the best set-up, run-flats with no spare was terrible(my wife's Odyssey Touring had the PAX tires and I de-paxed that van for the same reason--early tire wear and expensive to replace), smaller interior and more expensive than the Type S. In the end, I liked the 3G styling and the Type S was just enough for me trade up to and be happy for another 2 years.

I also look for a good deal and with the trade I got and the price I paid for the Type S, in 2 years I will be no worse off than had I kept my '06 for 2 more years. The Type S should hold it's value a little better than a base TL and my mileage in 2 years should just be under factory warranty expiration. In fact I already have 2-3 people who may want my car when I'm ready to sell as they know I take very good care of them.
