Some new WDP shots with new cam...

hey all just got my first dslr camera. still learning it, took a few shots just wana know what you guys think or if you have any tips for me. ive only had the cam for 2 days so any help or advice would be great thanks!

the camera is a nikon d50...i just wana learn about all the different settings and what not,i can tell its a big step up from a point and shoot lol

nice. my advice is to try shooting in aperture priority mode and learn how to use aperture, shutter speed, and ISO

Check out this link and look more up on "The Exposure Triangle"

It'll help you understand how lighting helps, and how you can adjust the way light affects your pictures by adjusting ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.

Congrats on the DSLR. I recently replaced my D60 with a D3100 and even though I've had a DSLR for over a year, I'm still learning and experimenting. From what I can see from those pictures, you're using natural light which I prefer over using flash. You did a great job with keeping the face of the wheel towards the camera, that helps out a lot with the shot. Keep practicing, the shots will only improve over time

thanks and yeah no flash i hardly ever use the flash for taking pictures,and thanks!
