Well fucking done...
surprised you didn't go dark centers for contrast, but they look tits regardless! I love that finish!
you might need to choose a fun caliper color to make them pop now...honestly, your car is a work of art.
I used to say that about mine...it was rolling art.

Same here. I had been thinking about Volk ze40's but I'm really glad I went with the RSII's.

What, you don't think gray is fun?!

I was torn between these and the dark gray centers but went with what I thought was the safer route. Part of me wishes they offered blank centers like Volk, but I still love these. I really like the red Brembo logos since they show up more now with these wheels, but that also makes me think about having the calipers totally red. I think that'd be a pretty classic color combo, but then I start thinking about it not matching the rear brakes... That was one of the reasons I chose silver/gray. I'll have to get used to the new look to see how I feel about changing caliper colors. Thanks again for all your help and suggestions.

These cars really are timeless. It's 10 years old and I've owned it for 9 and now that I'm on "version 2.0" of mods I love it all over again. I've been collecting parts for a fog light retrofit which I'll probably tackle next. It's always bothered me how weak the stock fogs are. They're really just for show. I've got led projectors and h8 harnesses. Just need a few more parts.

You think your mods through, obviously.
I LOVE the legit Advan Racing lettering...

no blanks...makes them look like damn varstorwerersns 1.3's!

I would definitely save up for it. The OEM wheel is so skinny compared to this one.

Washed the car and took some pics with a real camera! My wife is the photographer but she's used to taking pictures of people and she had some questions about car photography:

What's the best lighting angle for avoiding reflections? What part of the car do you meter for?

On to the pics:

Pretty happy with the way the car looks right now. I might drop the front just a little bit more.

I know that I'm biased, but the 3G TL looks fantastic when you mod it correctly. Keep on representing to the fullest.

Thanks. I'm going for a subtle look. I've had more than one member of senior leadership at my company and clients ride in my car so I don't want it to be too much. It's a fine line. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to afford a second car that I can go all out on.

The wife is really good with that camera. She focuses on people (mostly our daughter), but she's willing to shoot the car for me.

Same here. I really think the 3g is still the best looking sedan Acura has made. I'll be here for awhile.

Gangster looking fitment, good to see a little meat on those wheels.
Glad to see you rocking non-reps! That's the only way to have aftermarket wheels IMO.

Thanks man. I like beefy tires too. More rubber on the ground is a good thing. Reps scare me!

Looks awesome!

As for reflections on the car, there's really no easy way around it.
I always shoot with a CPL, but even with a CPL, you're going to get reflections on the car because paint is like a mirror.
Best thing to keep in mind when shooting cars is the location you're taking pictures - you can have a spot that will reflect like crazy and a spot that doesn't reflect as bad.

Thanks so much. That's super helpful! I'll pick up a CPL before next time and look for some shady spots.

Very minor update, changed out amber led turn signals for 5k switchbacks. The car is as dirty as it's ever been.

Thanks Steven! Not sure I'm digging the switchbacks. Kind of annoying that they don't flash when I lock or unlock the car.

that would drive me crazy. i'm been running tritons for about 4 years and even though they are pricey, you get what you pay for, they are the best!

mine are the switchbacks, been running them for many years. just received my pre-sale order of the new triton switchbacks, i need to install them soon and then sell my current switchbacks. i've had a few people wanting to buy my old/current ones, but i told them wait until i get them off. i'm super excited for the new version i got in, they are supposed to be super bright and classy (not that the old ones weren't!)

What headlight bulbs are you running and how well do the tritons match? Definitely post pics once you get the new ones!

i'm running osram cbi (which i love). one of the reasons i'm switching it up is because the cbi's are closer to 6k and my tritons are 5k. i'm very specific about certain things and it kinda drives me crazy so that's why i went with the new 6k tritons. i'll put up some pics once i get them on!

I'm running cbi's too, but had not thought to look at 6k switchbacks as a better match. Thanks man!

Based on sockr1's recommendation I decided to try 6000k switchbacks. I think it's a much better match. Retrofitsource was nice enough to let me exchange bulbs. Great customer service!

looks great! i should be receiving my new 6000k switchbacks today from vleds. i received a pair of them a month ago but went to install them and they were absolutely horrible (bad timing with rest of lights, wrong colors, hyperflash). turns out i got the first production batch which had major issues. today they are sending me the revised version and then i send back the other new ones. hopefully these ones work and match like yours do!

Thanks man, I appreciate the tip! I heard about the issues with the v6's. Glad they're taking care of you. I've got Vled DRL's and reverse lights which I've been very happy with. Looking forward to seeing your new new Tritons.
