I've been in talks with MGP to get the caliper cover issue resolved. After inspecting them some more, we realized the actually didn't fabricate them correctly. There should've been a notch on the front calipers near the hub to provide additional clearance for the wheels and the edges nearest to the inside of the wheel barrel may have needed to be trimmed a bit more. MGP customer service is nailing down the proper dimensions with their engineer and designer and plan to send me a new proof to verify the fit. Even with this hang-up, this really has been a great group to deal with.

So this will be my final update in this thread. Why? I've traded in my Type S for a 2015 BMW 335i M-Sport.

I'll be posting the following things for sale in the Black Market that I took off the car before trading it in.
  • WDP Keyhole Delete
  • RDX Rear Caliper Covers (never installed)
  • Custom "Type S" one of a kind MGP Caliper Covers (never installed)
  • Brodix Proclip base mount
  • Motorsport Tech Adaptec 15mm bolt on spacers
It's been great being a part of this community.

kinda want both, since they'd work well in unison.
package deal to save on shipping?

PS, congrats, man...quite a great car you picked. I'm sure you're in love.

Definitely loving this car. Playing with Sport mode and the Sport Displays that show real time power and torque can be addicting.

You can still get a MT, but mine has the M-Sport's standard transmission is an 8-spd AT with manual modes via paddles and bump shifting.

If anyone following this thread has any interest in buying the custom caliper covers, messages me and let me know. My sale thread for those parts has turned into a hate fest and has likely been sabotaged by highly opinionated forum members.
