^ they'll be available to the public in about a week and a half (www.grafixpressions.com). The M8 x 1.25 versions will be limited and only offered in a few colors since the market isnt as large for the auto thread sizes.

I am between the countersunk Moddiction knobs for the S2000, and the Blox knob (looks similar to Skunk2's knob). I like that the countersunk knobs reduce the throw, but worry a little that it might be awkward shifting with a coffee cup (or two) in the cupholders.
I also wonder how they'll look with the silver ring at the top of our shift boot.
Any opinions?

Moddiction also offers an oval shaped model similar to the skunk 2 shift knob but countersunk. Can also be raised up if you want it higher. I have the round one but buddy has the oval one. Both look great!

Put my Moddiction Anvil II on! Was gonna go with the Maven, but I like the way the Anvil mates with the ring better, looks cleaner. Awesome shifter feel when combined with GM Syncro-Mesh and slave valve delete, plus it's countersunk an inch or so, so the shifts are shorter.

For those of you with the momo combat evo shift knob, did you get the longer screws in the kit? I got one for xmas and when I installed it the longer screws for the bottom of the unit were missing from the kit. For now, I just have the rubber stopper holding it on the shifter. Its loose, but it works for now. I really want to get this working right and emailing momo hasn't gotten a response. May have to actually pick up the phone.

Removed the whole set up. Then, on the shift knob shaft, put a couple (2 or 3) layers of masking tape the length of the shift knob. Then I put the stopper back on an then the long screws (each with a dab of blue locktite).
Hasn't come loose in ~2 years since.

Well, I had finally had enough of my shift knob. It kept peeling around the numbers creating "hangnails" of that top material.
In reading through this thread, it wasn't real clear to me how the boot/ring came loose from shift knob. Well, there are two tabs on the bottom of knob. You just kind of pull down on ring, mixing in a "wiggle" action.
I went with what was billed as a Skunk2. Not sure it is "real" because the logo is not present, but I am real happy with the product.

At $19.99 with free shipping, it was a small gamble.
I like it ok!
I didn't realize at the time that this pic isn't as clear as it could have been.
Basically, the boot held itself up to the knob, but it did jingle a bit at times against the knob. I pulled it down a bit and added 2-3 layers of electrical tape (for now), and slowly worked the boot/ring up over the tape. Snug for now. Will find a better long term solution at some point if necessary.
It will take a small amount of getting used to the size difference. It is a bit smaller. Not a negative at all, just feels different. Have only driven it once since I installed it, though.
Oh, and one thing I was really worried about was if it would be facing the correct direction when it tightened up. It was perfect!
Another option..........

carbon fiber knob found on
The leather shift boot doesn't stay up, going to replace it with one with contrast stitching. I just rubber banded it temporarily for this pic to see what it looked like with the shift boot in place.
