I do love the W212 one, but my painter friend would have to put some serious time into it and I'm not sure it's subtle enough to compliment the CSL and the angle of it. I was CERTAIN yesterday too (ask Komodo!).
just saw this! Lol

id personally swap out to 3M one. Or add that to it.

LOL...but that was his problem, he didn't want to paint over someone else's work...at the end, for $77, it was hard to pass up the ebay one.

PS, I've linked the other W212 ebay spoiler since THAT seller isn't interested in the 3G market. I have contacted bmwoemspoiler shop with links, pictures and threads and they were VERY eager to learn more about another spoiler we would like produced TO FIT/PAINTED for the 3G. I will let everyone know what they say when they reply to my email. We may have a custom W212 spoiler in the works that FITS.

Glad I read the end of this tread, I was just getting ready to buy the bmwoemshop spoiler, guess I will wait a bit to see if anything develops.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with the one they currently produce, it's small, subtle and the raised profile look matches the csl really well. BUT, that said, I still want to help make the W212 happen if possible.

The email is:
bmwoemshop168@gmail.com

Alisa is the girl I've been dealing with...feel free to email her and contribute whatever useful information they might be able to use.

I know this thread is old, but seems to be the most in-depth at covering the roof spoiler. Since no one has posted in awhile I wanted to give an update. I found another type of spoiler for our cars. Has a bit of a different shape then some of the others.

Here is the link - http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Painted-Acura-TL-III-3rd-Sedan-2004-2008-R-Type-Roof-Spoiler-Rear-Wing-/271320475005?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3f2bf5e57d#rpdCntId
I am having a difficult time because I like the shape of that one and am thinking about getting it, but I also like the bmwoemshop M3 style one. Decisions decisions! Any thoughts guys?

But then again you never know if you don't try it.

Give that one a try ECG. If it doesn't work you're not out a ton of money, and if it does then there's the potential for another inexpensive roof spoiler that looks great too.

Look what Fed-ex delivered today, my roof spoiler!! Looks great and feels like good quality, its actually got some weight to it, we'll see how it matches the paint. Now if it wasnt so freakin cold, -6 tonight I would install it, but the way its looking I think its going to be a few weeks. Will post more pictures once I get it installed!

Is there a major company that supported the TL, like Gsquare or Mugan?

I'm not a supporter or replica companies, so I'm trying to source original crafted items.

Sarona & ATLP are the companies I can think of.

They cost a lot, but since you like original crafted items, I'm sure it'll be worth the $300.

Sorry guys I havent responded. I have not installed it yet as the weather has been crappy. Also I am waiting for it to get warmer because it says to install in 80-90 degree weather. I have a feeling bending this one will be tough because its very sturdy and pretty thick!

I just came across another post where I think the guy installed the same roof spoiler, not totally sure... https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/type-s-aspec-kit-window-visor-roof-spoiler-install-one-week-pics-906680/

Well guys after a couple of months it is was finally warm enough to install the roof spoiler. It was about 90 today and it made the spoiler super flexible and very easy to install. I left it in the warm car before hand and it flexed enough to bend right into place with no problems. The color matched almost perfect and the length fit perfectly. On to the pics....dont mind the specs on the car, its all the pollen.

I got mine from ACKTL05, fitted well and matched my silver paint perfectly. Only downside was the shitty tape that was put on it, i had to add new 3m tape

Nice install...I did mines in the winter when it was sprinkling outside. I couldn't wait few weeks to install it. I just bent it and left it over night. Installed it the next day and it fit fine

Just got my m3 spoiler a few weeks ago. Must say bmwoemshop shipped fast and paint match was great! Fitment was right on and flexible as can be. Better than I thought it was gonna be.
