I really liked the lugs - but black ones make me look at the wheel as a whole, and make the other amber parts more significant - like the turn signals.
Crazy how one small change can affect what you look at on the car - really shows how much detail you've put into it.

Thanks boys...yeah...it's a tough call to make because it does all kinda flow well together. There was just SOMETHING that I wasn't sold on, and that was it. Ever since the work wheels...since they were black, there was no contrast so I needed the lugs and valve stem cover to really make them stand out. Now, with the color of the Advan, I technically don't need to, but I never considered going back to a monochromatic color...now that I have, I DO love how much of the focus ends up being on the entire wheel, as Aman said. It also looks less like I'm trying too hard...matching different orange colors and detracting from the other subtleties like the side markers.
After swapping it, I immediately felt like it looked more classy and what i was looking for when I swapped the lugs.
Sure, any time and thank you.
18 x 9, +29 all around with 225/40 rubber. I have stock camber specs with upper camber arms and have a +22 on the rear with the use of a spacer.
Also, hadn't made one in a while...figured I'd share.

Hey Rockstar, I know you probably get tired of answering these, but I was wondering - what exactly do you have done to your headlights? Clear, I know, but what else? I'm thinking of doing a clear as it goes really well with the abyss blue pearl, but I want to change up the color of my turn signals and DRLS.
I actually don't have clear any more...I have black projector ring, amber in , blacked out corner and zkw-r lens!
Confusing Name Guy
^ fail. The blacked out corners explain a lot in terms of look.
Stock bulbs?

well, on previous, I had cf wrapped some type s diffusers to hide the amber...then blacked out the area in front of the diffuser.
You ain't stupid! The blacked out projector ring probably is the biggest visual impact on current.
I have CBI low beams, led plasma drl and signal bulbs.
There are cars on the road..that I don't even look twice at, they are so boring. THen there are people, who mod something SO nice, that it makes you seek out that car on Craigslist to see what it costs now, to see if you can buy it and make it like what you see online. Inspiration.

That said, I'm floored by your comment...that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me in reference to the car. I thank you for that.
Enjoy your weekend.

Had the same shift knob idea a while ago and never executed because I did the math properly. LOLLL
Great work on that though. Even if it's not quite the weight you were wanting.

Yea it's amazing how well visually the 3G has held up over the years. And then you got guys like J that do proper upkeep and it looks like a brand new car still.
I've had several random people over the past few years stop me and say "nice car! is it new?"... "Nah, it's 10 years old"... "Shut the front door"... ""
I'm sure I'm not alone there.

Thanks for the kind words, fellas. I appreciate it. Chad, I do get that all the time! I got that with the S2000 too. Is that a new car..um...yes. If today were in 2004.
I love em...the designs stand the test of time...can't say that about a lot of cars that make you go WHOAH when you first see them and then don't even warrant a 2nd look a year later.
J.
I miss my other project.
