I thought you were getting rid of the TL?

Dude I'm all over the place. When I get bored I get antsy. Lol
135? 335? S5? Motorcycle? Boosted TL?
I've been weighing many options lately. Lol
As of 12:17 today I'm currently on the "TL is paid off. Get it to 350HP. Plus buy a motorcycle."
Tomorrow at the same time I may be "SELL MY FIRST BORN AND BUY AN AUDI"
Ahh the life of an indecisive married man.

Dude, I am right there with you. One day it's, "Get the Lamborghini", the next day it's, "Keep the Type S". Then, it's "screw it and just buy the Bugatti !!!!"

Chad, I would never do the boosted TL....just dont make sense....
Justin has been mentioning a boosted SHAWD RL and that has really really gotten me thinking....I love the 2G RL's and SHAWD will be able to handle the boost...500whp should be something of interest but them damn transmissions LOL

When I say boosted TL I mean the M62. Unless Andy's latest endeavor isn't too God awful expensive. Although I believe that setup means deleting the AC. Which is no bueno.
The M62s can be had for cheap. Throw in the bolt-ons and supporting mods, a tune, and aim for 350HP. I'd be happy. Basically Alex's build.
So I picked up those tails last night. Dude was pretty cool. Stamped Honda which made me happy. I texted J on my way home...man...not much to the tail lights is there? Much lighter then I thought they would be. I plan to do red stripes this weekend.

Chad, if I can do the precision machine work to extend my shaft (rotrex) and create all related bracketry i may be able to keep AC. It would go in the battery location. Hmmmmmmmmmmm LOL

Andy in my thread? A non performance thread, at that! He must have seen the bat symbol!
Making this car fast is expensive. No 2 ways about it other than debating what someone considers expensive. For some it's $2K, for others, it's $15K.
Chad, that was a funny text. I could have sworn you had told me you'd swapped out tails a bunch of times...guess I remembered it wrong Yeah, not much to them at all! Who did you end up buying the tails from? I thought you were buying them from Bruce?
I'm actually going to have another set of reds by next weekend that I'll likely mod for someone and sell.

Andy, unless I'm way off with how the rotrex differ from others I'm not sure why not... Good seeing ya on this side of the forum buddy! J, I'd feel honored. :P
I bought the reds off of a local guy. Well, I had to drive an hour each way but that's ok. $50! The wifey and I hit up a local brewery while we were there. Ended up being the only patrons, and the owner/master brewer sat with us and bullshitted beer for a couple hours. So I was pretty lit when I sent that text. Lol

You mean tiny tips, no wheel gaps, and DSLR pictures aren't good enough material to bring you out to the yard?

Well I don't know what you're doing but I never had a chance to do the lights this weekend. Plus, I'm not going to lie, I want the red stripe look but I'm not sure if I want to hurt any light output with the VHT.
Speaking of VHT, FYI, Advanced in my area at least is discontinuing the Red, Black, and Grey Nit Shades. So if you need any, now is the time, as I got mine for $2.50 a can! Bought two blacks and two reds.

Wow, that's a great price! I think I recently paid $12 for it. Output isn't affected THAT badly, actually.
Brian, really? You're dumping it?
Well, my weekend started off well, and although there were some hiccups, only got better.
Recently bought some parts from JNC for my backup set of headlights that live in the attic. Always loved the crisp clean lenses but despised the chrome in the corner and the guy I bought these from 4 years ago chipped the chrome reflector housing. Anyway, ZKW-R, type s diffusers wrapped in black vinyl (tired of cf look) corners. CBI's are back along with 5K fogs and the amber corners and headlight fogs (bought some new 11W ones that are VERY bright). You guys were right...the teal ring was what was throwing off the amber snake eyes look.
I contemplated modding more, but I still have the teal ringed blacked out original set so I wanted to keep this set clean, simple and NOT blacked out.
Worked all day on Saturday, was cheap with the bead of silicone over an area that must have been lacking butyl and guess what, awesome, button everything up and after the torrential monsoon that happened I had running water inside my lights. Seasoned modder my mothereffing azz.
I like my wounds and decide I'll tackle revisiting it Sunday morning. Get the grill going to cook my skirt steak and can't find one of my dogs in my tiny yard. Light up the flashlight and see this damage the strong wind and rain caused. Basically, top heavy bougainvillea plant got knocked over and took the fence with rotten posts out with it.
Oh yeah, I must be Mexican! Got up early on Sunday morning and by 930 am I had already removed my bumper/headlight/ resealed and reinstalled, removed debris and braced the fence up enough to keep the dogs on my side. Yesterday I finished trimming the branches to manageable size to stuff in the trash bins in small increments.

Also on Sunday, while working on the headlights I decided to seal up those drain holes in the airbox that a member pointed out was drawing in unfiltered air. Due to the TB spacer, I had a really hard time prying the top of the airbox off and noticed that over time, a huge crack in the plastic ribbed tubing had occurred. Time to revisit the poor man intake mod. So, a little forcible ingenuity ensued. I used the tube that comes out of the bottom of the airbox into the resonator to create my own little short ram intake. A hose coupler/clamp, some short screws and a bead of RTV silicone inside and out to ensure only filtered air and voila!
OH NOS
and final product, although now I need to revisit cleaning up the now visible wiring
