Thanks ron...learned my lesson...take a quality kit to a REAL body shop. Small world. I think you were talking to him when I picked up the car. His 2-tone looks crazy. I have some pics some people want to see.

Havent decided color scheme and if I REALLY want to do it. Im sort of liking the clean look.
I may go with a subtle charcol stripe from the Tails to the front.
MY skirts HAD to be re-painted.....clearcoat got cracked when a shop put it on a lift....mental note (RJ side skirts sit a bit lower than OEM).

That looks AWESOME!!! I love it!
Did you buy poly urethane only? Or did you get it prepped and primed by RJ?
I am thinking about getting one too, just concerned about the paint matching and where to get it done at, makes me nervous.....

1. Get polyurethane only -- paint match at the shop is crucial
2. MOST IMPORTANTLY.....Take it to a REAL bodyshop. My first attempt was at one of those shops which did engine work and body work. Needless to say (and some on here can tell you), the work was $hit.
If you're very lucky, you can get a Acura dealer's body shop to do the work. Many are not willing to install and paint aftermarket parts. I even offered one shop an extra 500 bucks. I had a tree branch hit my hood, which required repainting the front bumper. The shop agreed to paint the bumper since it was coming off anyway, but not the rest.
Vision auto and collision is a body shop for an Acura dealership. The guy wo did the fitment has a TL and knows the car very well. They were williing to repaint, reinstall AND guarantee the paint. It looks 100% better I'm taking ALL my business to them.
3. Be willing to pay more at a quality shop.
Do a search on the forums. I believe there is ONE gold TL on here with a RJ kit. Someone took the pic while the car was parked near a restaurant or something.
If you have never seen one in person, the pictures don't do the kit justice. Some do take issue with the rear, but thats ok.

Buy the RJ kit in poly ONLY! It was a lot cheaper for my body shop to do all the prep, primer and paint versus getting that done by RJ. I second the notion on using a GREAT body shop. Mine said they do kits, I've had it back 3 times for fitment issues. It's now spot on, and the body shop says they would not do anymore.

Vinny! Looks Great! Now I wish I had taken it to them when I had the chance, I just didn't feel like driving to woodbridge. We'll have to get together soon for a photo shoot! Love the TLS Tails...looks really nice!

the body shop I use does sick work. I usually get spies n hecker paint only on the car... i cant deal with the issues I have with ppg never matching up....or dupont. I had the bumprs repainted a few times cuz I do live in NYC...and not one asshole knows how to park. and they use the color off the original pieces if they have probs matching up..IF they are having matching issues they blast the whole damn car ....they arent worried bout the money they wanna keep people happy with quality work and word of mouth goes around fast. they've been around for 36years
