No don't do that RJ grille! (That is not a real grille anyway, I believe that is a photoshop too.) Mesh looks WAY better. Thanks Trew that NBP looks better lol.

But really any of those chops look better than it looks now. Your car looks PERFECT overall except that the stock silver grille is messing up the flow and I am glad you are going to mod it! Most people overlook this mod than any other.

04Komodo, I haven't bought the grille yet. Let's see what you have in store. Honestly the only solution I need is a sturdy, solid, permanent, good looking way to form the sides. If you have a solution for that, I need to know about it!

Alright... Post #29 it is.. I do like the RJ grill.. but I agree its a bit much. And Trip.... why are you getting your bumper repainted? WTF did you do? LoL I just need to get the OK from Rondy that the middle bar isn't for any structural support and then I'll also have the lower fog grills painted in Anthracite to bring out my front end more.. right now after I replaced that grill with black.. it looks a bit too OEM ish. If anyone has any different colors that would look better... now is the time to speak up.

And Rocky I totally agree with you.. I procrastinated on this mod long enuff.. LoL!

How about black?

Actually, if you're doing post 29 then try to match the lower trim on the grille with the lower mesh.

The mesh won't quite look like that... Unless you put the mesh flush with the V part of the grille.

Wow crazy chops Spectro.. good stuff! Makes me more inclined to lean towards not painting the Front Engine Grill. I was thinking about painting just the fog grills and the 2 grills one each side of the bumper anthracite though or maybe even a gunmetal.

I'm leaning towards doing what's in Post #29 Spectro. And then doing that Anthracite stuff on just the bottoms. Kind of like how it flows better that way. If you can make that happen.. you the man!

Raj, maybe leave the trim around the grill in chrome-like it is. Then do the lower grill (with the fogs) in the silver-similar to the black TL in post #33. I actually think that kind of contrast looks good on a black TL. It enhances the entire RonJon nose and gives it more definition.

That way, the lower grill somewhat matches the upper grill. At least the two would compliment each other and carry the color from top to bottom of the nose.

Yeah I got an answer from RONDY.. I got him on the phone.. he's been busy with the Accord Coupe Kit which I think looks so badass... but ne wayz he has ok'd the mod.. said that cross bar has no structural value. So its a go!

I'll prolly be doing this in the next week or two, once I can figure out in my schedule when I can part with the car for a few days and coordinate it with the shop as well.. that's always the issue when getting stuff like this done.

And SPECTRO.. props to you man! You made this last decision much easier with your skills. Obviously lets not forget the work put in by Rocky and Trew as well..all you guys rock!

all you need for that is to take off your bumper and paint it. There's a DIY for the front bumper but not for the paint.
