Rear Wing Haters Move On

Thanks for all the input, negative and positive. It seems people who own our car want it to look either touring sedan or sporty. To me it's a good looking car either way. Like I said, I thought the wing looked too big at first also but after a day it really grew on me. I guess it helps to see it in person. Going to keep it, I think it brings out the sporty side of the TL. Maybe you all can check it out at a meet and give it a second thought. Again, thanks. SSMDTL
P.S. Phee, That's exactly what I mean. You suggest that I do what everyone else does, then it wil be unique. Does that sound right to you?

Since everyone on here is being honest I will too.....
I don't like the wing. If you like the wing then it's cool.
I would ditch the wing and drop it.

i think if the wing wasn't as tall, it would look better, but thumbs up for creativity. The front lip is a little too big for my taste, hopefully you can avoid road debris...I think all of us with front lip kits face this issue too.

i think the car look ok i guess but u need to lose those rims and give the car a drop and finish the back with the aspec then u will still be different but lookin right

The front airdam and rear spoiler don't really flow well with the car. They both seem to protrude out a little farther than the car is proportioned. Thus resulting in the ricer look. I just don't think the TL does well with oversized spoilers and dramatic body kits.

I never would've thought it was possible to make the 3G TL's ass look small. And here you go, with one simple rear spoiler, you've made the 3G's ass look small.
I don't like it. Even if I was 21, or 16, I wouldn't have chosen that particular look for the TL, because IMO, it just doesn't flow with the overall lines of the vehicle.
But it's your car, as long as you're happy, then I'll be happy for you. I'm just happy that it isn't me.

If you finished out the kit, I think that front lip would be hot. Its different.
The wing tho....its way obvious its one of those universal cheapo deals...it doesn't fit the car, or flow with anything. And the wheels are too small and busy for my taste, but if you like it thats all that matters.

you know what stillhere, thats why i like you man, you are honest!!!
keepin it real, not jus blatent hattin.... lol
that is exactly what it needsthough!!!! good drop n wheels will create the look it needs....
the whip can be done different, but aspec sides are a must.
Since no one (that I can find) makes a rear diffuser yeah, aspec rear, a rear diffuser would be the play though......

Yea you wanna be different then the internet man. haha this is an enthusiast site and everyone will do what looks the best for their own car. How many TLs is there around you with a-spec lips, dropped on some nice rims? There isnt many of them around me so those basic mods that "everyone" is doing are different where I am from.

I'm gonna say...no. theres other ways to stand out of the crowd and bring out the 'sporty' side of the tl rather than putting an oversized wing on it. and be careful of any ebay lips, they tend to not hold up very well.

If you went with the side skirts and the a-spec rear, dropped it a bit, and went with a contrasting wheel (polished, chrome, etc..) I think you'd have a nice ride on your hands.
