By looking at the LED replacements on v-leds.com, I would assume you just need to swap the incandescents with the LEDs, and you'll be good to go. But seeing how resistors are needed, it doesn't seem like that's the case. And how would the resistors fit with the LEDs in the housing?

Sorry, I'm a pretty big noob at this, and I wasn't really good at physics, E&M and circuits were never fun for me.

the resistors your taking about are for the leds which are built in but we are talkign about the LED LOAD resistor for the car. hyperblinking occurs if not enough/too much current on the line in the car (adding leds or burnt out halogen bulb) so for you if your doing just front or just rear get 6 ohm if your doing both get 3 ohm.

So, are LED Load resistors a must if you want to change the blinkers into LEDs? Why is it that the resistors inside the LEDs themselves aren't enough? The thing I don't really get is why LEDs need load resistors, and incandescent don't?

is it easier to install the resistors in the front or the back? in which case ill be doing both front and back LEDS. also if i want to change it back to stock can i do so without regrets?

different circuit, hazards dont run thru the flasher relay.

you have 6 ohm with what setup? front/rear or both?

rear. theres a DIY. you'll regret installing them halogens back. its all plug n play no cutting required but the resistors will just get spliced no damage !

Yes they are a must! resistors in the leds are for the LEDS. Load resistors are for the CAR as i said earlier.

leds require less amperage than halogen bulbs thats why you need load resistors.

Good luck with that LED Handle mod... ... there is a secret module needed to make them work flawlessly with the courtesy light circuit...

Additionally, you don't need a soldering iron to get that mod done...

what happens if you dont install the resistors? just the hyperblinking or will they burn out faster?

as I said earlier, I like the "hyperblink" look. I would think technically due to the use they might burn out quicker but I've been running front/rear blinker led's for about a year without resistor's with no issues......
