There was that one time Eric put on that RSX's wing ontop his trunk for fun...
Then there was his Lego ordeal... don't know where that went.
There's also the Thunder Hill [or whatever] TL.. it's not raised though.

I'd rather not take advice from someone who can't spell "your".
I would turn my TL to someone else actually, but the only way I would do it is if I could get a specific car on trade such as an S2000 or 350Z and I can't. So therefor I'm keeping my shiny A-Spec with a new transmission and I'm going to modify it as I please, because I owe $0 on it and I can.
I don't consider that rice. If I was putting an Ebay spoiler on there I would agree, but when you buy an expensive high quality part how is that rice?
It's not like I'm putting fart cans from Canadian Tire on my car.
I didn't buy the wing, I'm just looking for pictures with the part. If I have to find a wing and set it on my trunk to see then that's what I'll have to do.

A wing does increase downforce on a FWD car, I don't know where you heard different. The advantage of RWD plus a wing is the downforce gives the rear wheels more of a bite. But even with FWD the wing serves it's intended purpose.
I'm sure there's a lot of mods that were done on here that everyone said wouldn't work out at first, but turned out okay in the end. Like the rear S2000 diffuser for example was probably hated on.
Fortunately I don't let the haters get at me.

do it, post pics when you do, please...
and a wing on the back if im not mistaken would increase the down force on the rear tires, doing nothing for the front, probably hurting high speed drive ability in the process, increasing drag wasting gas, and making your race edition tl even slower. if you are going to put a wing on your trunk, put one on the hood too, like chris rado's time attack scion.

Not everything is 100% about performance, looks play a part. Most of you would hate the wing on any car so your opinion is invalid. I happen to like that style wing on a fair amount of cars. Whether it will work on the TL is not known.
It's common sense, the rear end will be forced down resulting in improved handling. Most noticeable when cornering and at high speeds. Research it.
Looks is half the reason I'm looking at these wings. Same as people aim for certain products like roof spoilers, lip kits, or rear diffusers. Different taste for different people. I don't care if you don't like what I like, that's not why I made the thread.
I wasn't hating on anyone's mods for being not being tasteful I was making a point.

In order to remotely come close to pulling off this wing with the TL you must have; a very aggressive stance, aggressive fitment on your wheels, an type s aspec body kit, and a few more exterior mods to make it look right. And even after all that, the TL isn't meant to be an aggressive road course car and it just wouldn't look right to most.

You have no place on this forum if you are gonna come on here, post questions about things and then get super defensive whenever someone says something about your ideas. Most of the guys on here that you are trying to argue with have cars that that rest of us wish we could equal. Race wings dont belong on a TL, which BTW stands for touring luxury

I've been having the same luck. Not specifically looking for this wing (I just grabbed that picture quick online), but in general. Let me know if you see anything.
I agree on most of this - I'm not planning to throw a huge wing on a base model TL.
I'm starting with a real A-Spec so I'm saving on visual mods from the start. I'm lowered a little, 18" wheels, lip kit all around. Visual mods will come later such as black roof, window tint, lighting mods etc
I've been looking for wheels in order to get the right stance. They are the most important part to me and the A-Specs aren't aggressive enough. Wrong wheels can ruin a whole car to me. The problem is if keeping my A-Spec suspension - only a few wheel choices will make it look aggressive. Mainly staggered (and yes I'm fully aware about the downs of that on FWD, wouldn't AZ just hate me if I went staggered with this wing? ).
I'm going for 18s or 19s and good wheel fitment will be accomplished. If I end up with a not so aggressive set of wheels I will not bother purchasing the wing.

Well cry me a river. Looks like your A-spec lip kit is RICE as well as mine. I'll go remove that ASAP. I recommend you take your rear roof spoiler off before someone notices it too.

If we're voting - I say negative on that style of wing. Unless you're going to track this car, there's just no good reason and the styling isn't attractive (IMO). Oh, and yes, I have seen at least one picture with a TL with similar wing (which I can't find now) and it looked really out of place. Sorry.

OP- a TL with this type of wing does not exist on AZ. You can be the first if you decide to do it. Happy Motoring. This thread is closed. I think everyone knows why.
