just for show, if your talking about the under the hood battery, it serves two purposes, 1)to not cover up that expensive CF battery, and custom made tie down and 2) to keep water off of it, i didn't have it before and washed my car the battery was all wet!
235/35/19 my offset is +35 theres plenty of room left, but i also have my rear fenders rolled.
