That was my sign to just buy something new with low miles and a warranty.
KBP and a 6 speed? don't see too many of those around! But it looks like you made out better anyways. So maybe it's a good thing they flaked out before you made the trek up to GA. But you already have a nice head start on mods with this one. You're pretty much set as it sits now.

Thanks guys! I'm loving this car more and more each time I drive it. One of the things in my search criteria was the ability to put a roof rack on and still look good. I ordered one last night and can't wait for it to get here. I gotta get back out on my SUP when it arrives.

Congrats on the new car!! I have a buddy in town who just recently bought a yellow one too. We need to coordinate another meet to get all of these non-Acuras together with the OGs.

Thanks, Marco! Lower your car and we'll get some new shots of it

What?! You went from a R to a ST? O_O

Get a tune and you may be faster than a stock 3G.

The $3700 in repairs in a couple of months was a pretty good reason to bail IMO. I did love the R too though.

I'm just teasing because I can't stand the STs. Lol

Plus, wasn't the R brand new? Warranty? What happened?

Ever been in one / driven one?

I too like hatches.

Also he said APR and some tunes can be done at the dealer. So I wasn't sure. He also mentioned tuning this car, which is under warranty.

Yes they are. They're ok for the price range. Had a couple spots where the coating chipped off. I was lazy cleaning them because the spokes trapped dust in the corners and took just as long to clean as the car.

I bought the car with 34k miles on it and the warranty was up at 36k. The local VW dealer only dealt with GIAC. I asked about it when I first got the car and they gave me a bunch of wrong info, so I knew they didn't know a thing about tuning. The car ran pretty well up until 70K miles and then all hell started breaking loose. The only shop close to me that knew these cars well and didn't rape me on prices was 45 min away. I had to have it towed down there twice in three months and the bill was a little under $4k all together. The first time took over a week and the second time it was down for a month. At that point I was over it and wanted something different. I wanted a car under $25k, 4 doors, manual, nice interior with all the gadgets, sporty, ability to put a roof rack on, and still under warranty. I've always loved the look of these cars and they have a big aftermarket and a great car community.

To be honest, I'm too lazy to resize one of the photos to make an avatar haha.

Ahh. Lesson learned is never buy a VW or Audi with only 2k miles on the warranty. Lol

shoot, even if it was under warranty, wouldn't it annoy you that it would be out of commission and leaving you carless which such frequency?

You'll laugh, but I've only driven a fiesta ST and it was fun!

Yea I guess. Although there is no way I could ever come close to putting those kind of miles on my car. Under warranty, they just give you a nice loaner!

Nimble cars for sure. Fast, no. A RS maybe... 2016!

I guess if I was okay with that mentality, I'd wrap my head around leasing and just letting them handle all maintenance at all times.

Fast and nimble and quick!

I got a great deal on the car and had full intentions on modding the car. I wasn't upset the warranty was almost up.
