Damn, now I feel bad about the moaning and groaning I'm doing about the Kansas City snow. We're supposed to get more tonight and overnight-into Monday....maybe another 6 inches.
When is Spring?????

Keep Right Except to Pass
My TL gets parked in the garage, so no good pictures of snow piles on top of it. I drove it to downtown DC on Sunday and had no problems (all-season tyres....MOST years, winter tyres are overkill in the DC area). It reminded me a lot of driving in Canada on winter ski trips with the exception that the Canadians are more responsible drivers than your average DC-area driver. I measured 24 inches of snow on my deck on Saturday afternoon.
So here are some other pictures instead.
My 1988 RX-7 convertible is under that mound. There's a car cover on the car, thankfully.
The fellow across the street is from Baghdad and attempts to do the most minimal amount of shovelling before attempting to drive his Toyota Camry. He's not usually successful in getting anywhere. He tried to get out on Saturday evening and got stuck. Another neighbor and I pushed him back into his driveway.
Then he tried again and got stuck again. This time I just rolled my eyes and went inside to cook dinner. We tried to help him, but he didn't want to help himself.
I-395 was in pretty good shape on Sunday morning on the way into DC for the Capitals game. Unfortunately, by afternoon on the way home it was no longer nice and smooth like this—it had turned into that brown, rutted, slushy crap. The handheld cellphone users and tailgaters were still out in force, though, as were the assholes who don't clean the snow off their roofs.
Finally, the A-Team van parked around the corner from my house hasn't budged. As of Saturday, the side of it was covered in snow, but I guess the sun melted some of that. This picture is from Monday afternoon when I went out for a walk to take pictures around the neighborhood.
