scs15, your exhausts are the oem type s quad exhaust? are type s quad exhaust the same size as the atlp or smaller? looks like atlp exhausts are bigger than stock type s exhaust. How much would it cost to put on the aspec lip, including the paint job.

I wanna see people do the base A-Spec paint styled paint job on the Type-S rear.

Where it looks like it has rear spats.

These are the excelerate quads not oem. ATLP exhausts are for sure bigger but they dont make quad exhausts anymore so doesnt matter. For you since you already have type s all you need is to order the aspec lip which comes prepainted in your color and you install it yourself. Simple install. Shouldnt cost you more than 300.

excelerate quads look very identical to the oem type s quad exh. i like the atlp quad exhaust except forthe part where one pipe longer than the other. I think it would look hotter if they were in same length like MB e55 quad exhaust.

How do you like the atlp quads but you dont like the staggered tips? Thats the only thing that sets the tips apart from excelerate.

honestly it would'nt..i looked at them . they are welded together, therefore their will be a big gap on the openings, instead of the quads filling up the entire space.

07TL, Brian customized those headlights, he has a thread all about it, check it out.

OP, you got the two nicest car conversions on this thread, lucky you!

Fizzle, those tails are SICKKKKKKK!

P.S ATLP quads are staggered.

thanks

No it is a direct swap in terms of only the headlight unit as a whole. All mounting points are the same.

Only issues with the 07-08 type s headlight on an 06 are:
The turn signal socket is now 1157.
The daytime running light (for 06 it is the foglight) socket is a different size as well.

There are many ways to get around these conversion issues, however.

When one does the conversion do we just get the front and rear type s bumper covers, front type s grill? Do we use any of the original parts already on the car? Which aspec front lip looks best onthe cars in your opinions?

Double sided tape not sticking

So I was installing front underbody spoiler.. That tape that it comes with wasn't holding the kit at all...There was alot of gaps in between the body.. I bought 3m double sided tape , that helped somewhat so I then used epoxy.. That worked the best bit the front of the kit is still not flush.. Anybody used any other types of glue?

Is there an 07 type s rear and an 07 type a aspec rear

It's seems like some of the numbers that were put on look a little different and I'm not revering to those that cut their stock bumpers to convert to

Drastic and Louisia s bumpers look different to me as does jp (who is a real type s)

I think jp states his bumper is a type s bumper aspec.

Am I imagining that there are two 07 bumpers that can be added to an 05- that is 1) an 07 type s bumper and 2) an 07 type s aspec bumper or are the s bumpers the same

Some typos they didn't let me edit

Numbers = bumpers
Type a = Type s

Great jobs on the conversions BTW

There is DIY on this mod with pics.

The rear base bumper gets cut out, and the TL-S A-Spec mounts perfect. There is a large section that gets cut. My AM TL on the fist page is a 05, with cut bumper and TL-S A-Spec rear Lip.
